Switch operated
These extractor fans are operated using the light switch for your bathroom. A simple flick of the switch and excess humidity from a shower or long bath can be extracted until you turn the light back off. For extended extractor you may want to consider one with a timer or humidistat.
32 ltr/s extraction rate
Building regulations stipulate that extractor fans need to be able to extract at least 15 litres of air per second. It’s needed to ensure a minimal build-up of moisture in the room, reducing mould and grime in damp areas. This fan will extract a crazy 32 litres per second! That’s more than 2x what’s recommended!
Opening Iris
Airflow are best known for their top-quality extractor fans and thanks to eye-catching ‘opening iris’ shutter feature found on this fan, it has become an essential classic in any bathroom. The ‘Eye’ of the fan opens automatically when the fan is turned on and closes again when the fan is turned off. This helps to prevent draughts and cold air from entering the room whilst adding a touch of style.
IPX4 Rating
This product has a rating of IPX4 which means it is protected from water splashes from any angle.
Axial
Axial type fans cause gas to flow through in an axial direction which is parallel to the shaft where the blades rotate, making the flow axial at exit and entry. Axial fans are designed to create a pressure difference and force which produces a flow through the fan.
Zone 1 Rated
IP rating stands for 'Ingress Protection rating' and this helps us determine what bathroom electricals can go in particular bathroom zones. An IP (Ingress Protection) number or code is used here in the UK to specify the environmental protection of enclosures around electronic equipment. These ratings are determined by specific tests.

Interchangeable control modules – sold separately
The best thing about an Airflow iCON extractor fan is the customisation aspect. You can simply change the module for a pull cord, a timer, a timer and humidistat or a timer and motion sensor, ensuring you always have the right extraction for your bathroom.
