Description
Timer controlled
Extractor fans with a built-in timer control means that the fan will operate with the bathroom light switch and then overrun for a set amount of time to continue removing moisture from the air. This is great for steamy bathrooms, allowing you to turn the light off but continue with extraction for a short time.
Axial
Axial type fans cause gas to flow through in an axial direction which is parallel to the shaft where the blades rotate, making the flow axial at exit and entry. Axial fans are designed to create a pressure difference and force which produces a flow through the fan.
24 ltr/s extraction rate
Building regulations stipulate that extractor fans need to be able to extract at least 15 litres of air per second. It’s needed to ensure a minimal build-up of moisture in the room, reducing mould and grime in damp areas. This fan will extract a crazy 24 litres per second! That’s almost twice what’s recommended!
Zone 1 Rated
IP rating stands for 'Ingress Protection rating' and this helps us determine what bathroom electricals can go in particular bathroom zones. An IP (Ingress Protection) number or code is used here in the UK to specify the environmental protection of enclosures around electronic equipment. These ratings are determined by specific tests.
These extractor fans can be fitted within Zone 1 as shown below.

This product have a rating of IPX5, meaning it is protected from water jets that are projected by a nozzle (6.3mm) from any angle.
Recessed wall & ceiling installation
These extractor fans can be installed through a wall or recessed giving you that extra bit of flexibility. They can also be installed as portrait or landscape.

Replacement for noisy old fan
I bought this to replace a noisy old fan whos bearings sounded like they were about to drop out - you could actually hear it downstairs with the TV on!! Only needed the fan and light parts so it was an easy swap that took about 15 minutes. This fan is quiet. Okay of course you can hear it in the bathroom, BUT not in the bedroom next door. So if someone gets up in the middle of the night and switches on the light - no problemo. The wheel that sets the timer is small but easy to access and turns smoothly. It's only been in for about a month so can't comment on longevity, but from the initial signs I would recommend this fan and the shipping service by Plumbworld.

Quick and easy to order online and delivered to my door. The vent is perfect for my en-suite shower and comes with a choice of interchangeable ceiling fittings. Chrome or white. It has a built in time which can be set to your desired time, plus a low noise motor which won't disturb the lightest of sleepers. Quality product at a quality price, sold by a quality company.
