Sauber Baden Pull Out Kitchen Tap - Single Lever Chrome

I was looking for a kitchen tap to replace my old one of a similar design and fancied an upgrade to one that you can also pull the spout out. Many of the ones I saw had a bar going from the spout back to the main tap pipe which I thought may impede access if I wanted to put a pan under it and also the flexible pipe element was exposed and you could see the spiral coil which I thought would be a bugger to clean. When I found the Sauber Baden tap I thought it was perfect as there was no cross bar or exposed flexible coil and it looked sleek and smart. The unit is slightly larger but this is because the flexible hose bit is hidden inside the outer casing and it works on a counter-balance system so you need to have room under your worktop to let the weight move up and down without snagging. It has a button to alternate the flow from a full flow to a shower effect. It is perfect and works well so far after a month of use.

I am vey happy about this kitchen tap which I chose with some hesitation given some of the reviews and its low price compared to other similar products on the market. The reason why the tap might not sit very firmly on the sink has nothing to do with the tap itself but with the thinness of the kitchen sink. The only problem is that if the hose gets extended a bit too far out, the device that enables the hose to go back to its original position gets entangled with the pipes underdeath and needs to be manually freed. I guess this would depend on how the pipes are positioned under the sink. All in all very happy with purchase.

This tap is really great and good quality. It is easy to operate. If you have just been handling raw chicken and want to wash your hands, you can just flick the handle without contaminating it. The spray function and pull-out head is very handy when you need to rinse out the bowl or dishes for instance. It looks great too and really fits my new Sauber double bowl sink, which I purchased at the same time.

Strong water flow in either mode (spray/faucet). The base connection to the sink isn't totally strong -- it wobbles a little bit -- but the plumber who installed it chalked that up to the sink. Maybe he just couldn't tighten things because of the awkward positioning belong the countertop. I am happy with this purchase and really got it because I wanted the dual water flow styles. It does the job great.

Looks lovely with the sink I just have fitted a little bit bigger than I thought but still looks great easy to use although ugh the fitting wasn't quiet easy for the kitchen fitter. The top part of the tap feel a little bit flimsy but we worked out it have to be because the way it suppose to work. Other wise I am very happy!

The wife fancied a pull out kitchen tap. Product was sturdy and extremely practical although ugh it is. It really suitable for butler sinks so we changed it but I have installed at the mother in laws and she is extremely happy with it.

On arrival found far too big for our kitchen, phoned support department who were very understanding and helpful. Allowed to return item ( at our cost ) had received full refund. Did purchase smaller mixer tap, wife very happy.

Delighted with our new kitchen tap. Our plumber had no problems fitting it and it's very easy to use, the pull out head and spray function are really useful. It looks stylish, is good quality and excellent value for money.

An amazing tap does exactly what it’s supposed to do and more! The flexi hose sits nicely tucked away. For a low budget tap I recommend without any reservations.

The tap construction itself seems high quality the only downside is the shower head is plastic not stainless steel but then again for the price I’m not expecting the same as taps double the price. It works well but was a bit fiddly to fit and the instructions are generic but nothing I can’t find on google. Minor downside is the shower head is quite low when fully up in the spout meaning if I have a bowl full of water and want to fill the kettle it could end up in the water. Other than this minor inconvenience I’m happy with it and would buy again.

Overall I am pleased with this purchase as it does the job and was very reasonably priced. The tap is quite a bit bigger than expected and the switch between spray and normal flow is rather basic and clunky. However this tap is much cheaper than others I have seen so I am happy to have bought it. On eventual replacement of sink I will go upmarket.

We wanted a straightforward plain tap for a new kitchen. This does the job. My only negative is that the Swan neck is a bit low over the sink for our taste, but that's a personal preference. Nothing wrong with it at all and the push button switch from stream to shower type water delivery and the pull out hose is very useful.

Extremely well made and certainly a quality item, this tap is a very good upgrade for our kitchen. One star knocked off as it is very big. Could be slightly smaller. However, the quality of this mixer tap remains.

Not the sturdiest make, but it does everything it says & seems to be good value for the price. We were worried that the sprinkler would not retract but the weighted design pulls it back into position ok, so far.

Very pleased with this kitchen tap although ugh the flexible tails were 1 to 2 inches short for my existing connection. I has to purchase 500mm tails in order to install otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Nice tap, good quality, it is physically slightly 'larger' than a similar tap which it replaced. Nice touch where you can easy switch between normal flow and spray head. Pleased so far, would recommend.

I purchased this tap in July 2021 and within a month the spray function failed. I got in touch with Plumbworld and they replaced this for me. Just 2 days ago the spray on the replacement has failed again. Clearly there is a fault with this tap that needs to be reported to Sauber Baden. I have emailed Plumbworld again to ask for a replacement. Very disappointed in this tap. It looks lovely but clearly the spray function has a fault in it.

Tap lasted less than a year before the button controlling the spray started to stick meaning the flow was never fully one or the other. A coupe of months later the button came off. The full head has now come apart. Light grey plastic disc/screw inside had basically sheared in two along the thread.

The faucet head has water dripping from the side when it is placed on a solid stream. Has been installed for six months.

This a great looking tap but for me it’s unworkable . I cannot get the counterbalance to work and it’s always stuck in the non-retracted position. I love being able to use the shower feature pulled out but it’s never retracted on its own! I’ve made sure it’s not catching on anything and the weight is in exactly the right position but there are so many pipes (4) that there’s no way the one that needs to can move freely. It’s a normal sized tap hole in the sink and in the tap fittings is a circular piece that limits the size of the hole anyway! I can hear the pipe in the tap dragging againstt the other pipes and the only way I can retract it is to go under the sink and pull on the pipe from underneath!! Not the function I bought it for!!

Ordered a tap online. A very easy to use website and ordering system. I was able to read reviews about the item before purchasing to help me decide on the best tap for our sink. Value for money compared to other taps on other similar sites. Husband fitted it without any problems, which is saying something as he is no plumber!! We were concerned at first that the pull out part of the tap was not retracting back and not flush, but there is a knack to it. You just need to pull it out a little bit further first then snap it back up quick. My husband thinks it’s because he didn’t have a big enough hole in the sink for all the pipe work in first place, making the pipe work a bit tight to move freely, especially the pull out part. Nothing wrong with the actual tap. It’ looks fab in our sink and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

Bought this after seeing some cheaper ones on other mail order sites and was concerned they would be cheaply made versions. Bought from plumbworld due to their rating online. Got this fitted by our plumber as part of some insurance work and he highlighted the need for tools that the average joe might not have so be aware if you arent kitted out with tools. Once fitted there was some wobble as others have said but thats due to our existing sink being very thin metal rather than the taps fault. If you fit the weight low enough then the hose retracts really well. The finish on the tap is really nice, everything holds tight and we coudln't be happier. Great product and service.

I purchased this tap, loved it , but after only 6 weeks the tap started leaking out of the hose part that pulls out. I phoned plumb world, and I have to say there customer service was excellent, I was told to take a photo of the broken tap, within minutes it was sorted and I was told a new tap would be dispatched. It arrived the following morning. I always worry a bit when buying online just in case something happens , I have in the past couple of months purchased 5 things from this company and it’s nice to know that if a problem does happen it is dealt with as swiftly as this. after ordering 3 taps from a well known market place and all 3 faulty we decided to order this from plumbworld. wish we had ordered this at the beginning. fitting was easy enough after you figure out the connections, no leaks, water pressure stayed the same which was a requirement for us. with a 5 year guarantee you can't go wrong , not a heavy tap at all, our sink is quite thin and its attached fine. a excellent looking tap and working great.

I ordered this tap and was really looking forward to having it fitted and using the extended nozzle. It was an extremely good price and arrived within a couple of days. Sadly the connections couldn't be fitted under my sink. More to do with the awkwardness of my sink cupboard and existing pipework. I had to send it back. The credit went through very quickly without hesitancy. Would definitely use this company again.

I am so pleased with this tap. I had an expensive Franke tap in my last house and this one is far better as the hose retracts automatically and the spray option is really useful. Being able to angle the head is also a a great feature. It is excellent quality and value for money.

Good value but also good quality, sophisticated tap. The button works well to change between two types of different water dispensers, as does the pull out spout. Smart with the brushed finish. A bit bigger than I expected as I didn't check the measurements, but lovely tap.

Love this tap and great quality. Just ensure there is room underneath the cabinet when installing, for the hose to move freely. I use mostly the shower setting, great for washing up. I have recommended it to several.

I got it fitted by a plumber. It’s really nice and modern looking and the bottom works well to change the flow, also no issues with the pull function, it retracts well and easy to pull out. Would highly recommend.

Had slight problem with the tap but Plumbworld replaced it immediately & without the 3rd degree. Will definitely use again as the whole process was smooth which I can’t say about most of my internet shopping.

Love that it has spray feature and pull out hose. The only problem is that we can't get the hose to retract after using but have to feed it back in. This is because the piping is too long for our under sink cupboard, so the weight that enables it to retract doesn't work. It doesn't really matter though as everything else is great and it was excellent value. Quick delivery too. Would definitely recommend product and company.

Lovely tap and very happy with it until after 2 days the button changing the flow from normal to spray stopped working. The spay will only stay on if you continue to hold down the button and not as shown in the picture. Plumbworld responded promptly and did not have a replacement part but sent a whole new tap. This is not great environmentally and will also incur further plumbing costs. So I will wait until I have a new sink before having the change made. In every other way I am still very pleased with this tap.

This is a lovely chunky tap and the dual water spout options are great. However, the mechanism for returning the nozzle to its original configuration after you've pulled it out is rubbish. The weight is insufficient and so I have to go under the sink and manually pull it back it into position. Maybe it's a downside to this side of tap, I don't know. Other than that a lovely tap that looks good and works well if you don't pull the nozzle out.

I had this mixer tap installed three days ago and have been delighted with it's performance. It is easy to use, does what it says on the box, and looks very stylish. One word of caution, the thread of the tap , which goes through the worktop, is quite short and my plumber had to drill the underside of the worktop before he could attach the holding nut.

Good looking tap with snazzy spray/jet nozzle, but the first one we received reduced our water pressure from 20l/min to 2! Plumbworld were really good, and sent a replacement. This still restricts the flow significantly, down to 6l/min, but this is useable. Great service and customer support from Plumbworld.

Excellent tap, really useful and easy to clean. Pull-Out hose failed after 6 months' normal use. Plumbworld replaced it without a query. Excellent service, let's hope the replacement lasts the 5 years of the warranty!

Had the tap installed and it leaked pretty consistently, plumbworld sent me a replacement and this has done exactly the same. They have since refunded me but this is not great considering I have paid a small fortune to get 2 taps plumbed in, inspected and adjusted multiple times and will now have to pay again to get a decent one fitted. Pretty poor service considering the money it has cost me on tradesmen.

I’ve had two of these taps and both failed within three months of being installed. The switch that changes the flow from slid to spray has broken down on both taps, so looks like a design flaw. However Plumbworld dealt with it brilliantly, replacing it firstly and then refunding me after the second failure, all done very promptly and without any fuss.
