How do I choose between single, double or triple panel radiators for the size of my room?

Single panels have the shortest projection and are ideal if you're heating a smaller room or want a low-profile look, while double panels suit medium to large rooms and offer noticeably more heat. Triple panels give the highest output and largest projection, so pick one if you have an open-plan space or a very cold room. Match the panel choice with the BTU range you need, our range lists outputs from small (1–999) up to large (10,000–25,000), and compare a sample size (double flat panels are common in 600 mm heights with widths from 600–1440 mm). If you're unsure, favour a double panel for living rooms and a single panel for small bedrooms or cloakrooms.

Should I pick a horizontal or vertical radiator for a narrow hallway or a small bathroom?

A vertical radiator is perfect where horizontal wall space is limited, there are many vertical options up to heights of around 2200 mm and widths as narrow as 185–300 mm, so you can heat a hallway without blocking skirting or window space. Horizontal radiators work well under windows or where you have long stretches of wall and come in common sizes such as 600 x 1440 mm. For a narrow bathroom, a vertical DuraTherm double flat panel (1800 x 530 mm) gives strong output without taking floor space, whereas a horizontal model can double as a visual sill under a window.

How do I decide between modern and traditional radiator styles?

Modern styles tend to be flat-panel or oval tube designer radiators with clean lines, like the DuraTherm flat panels and oval tube ranges, and they suit minimalist kitchens and contemporary bathrooms. Traditional options, such as the Park Lane Colosseum column range with double or triple bars, give a period look and also create ledges to warm or hang towels. Think about the room's architectural style: a Park Lane column in 600 x 1190 mm adds character to a Victorian-style bathroom, while a 600 x 1440 mm DuraTherm horizontal flat panel keeps a modern kitchen looking sleek.

Can I get a white radiator that also heats towels or acts as a towel rail?

Yes, several traditional column and vertical models have double or triple bars specifically designed to take towels, and our range includes towel-rad-specific options from brands like Park Lane and Towelrads. the Park Lane vertical Colosseum triple bar 1800 x 560 mm both heats the room and gives you multiple bars for drying towels. Check the BTU output for the model you like to ensure it produces enough heat for the bathroom size while still offering the towel-hanging convenience.

Are white radiators available in many sizes and brands, and will the white finish suit different interiors?

You have a very wide choice, the range lists over 1,000 white radiators from brands such as Stelrad, K‑Rad, Solaro, DuraTherm and Park Lane, with widths from about 185 mm up to 2500 mm and heights from roughly 300 mm to 2200 mm. The white finish is intentionally subtle and pairs well with most colour schemes, while models like white & chrome offer a touch of contrast if you want a more contemporary trim. Because many items come in both horizontal and vertical orientations and in flat, column, curved or oval profiles, you can find a white radiator to match a traditional bathroom or a modern kitchen.
