Traditional bottom fix
This toilet seat has a traditional style bottom fixing, which means you fit your bolts down into your pan from the top and then tighten them from underneath. Bottom fix seats are NOT suitable for use with wall hung or back to wall toilets.
There is nothing worse than disturbing the peace by accidentally slamming your toilet seat, that’s why the Bemis 4403 Silentium toilet seat has been designed with a soft close hinge which allows you to close your lid without any startling loud noises!
Finished in a classic white, this toilet seat will blend in perfectly with your sanitaryware, keeping things neat and consistent in your bathroom. The seat has been made from American Innova Generation XXI moulded wood, giving you a strong and durable toilet seat which features a stylish thin profile.
The soft close hinges are plated in a polished chrome which will match perfectly with other chrome fittings and accessories. Other than adding to the aesthetics, they also adjust to your pan to give you the perfect fit.
Thanks to the Ultra-Fix fixing system, the Bemis 4403 Silentium toilet seat will always stay tight in place and allows for easy installation.

Perfect
I have been looking for a toilet seat for some time and this one has everything I was looking for. Our ceramic bowl is slightly warped and previous seats have never been adjustable making the seat rock. This one has done the job as there are enough fixing holes to mount the seat where it should sit and the mounting bolts enable to the user to lift or drop the height to suit.

High quality seat
Looks good, well built, soft-close works well. Best of all, the simple fixing system means it never loosens causing sideways movement. Have bought 5 of these over the years (different houses) and will buy again if needed.

This is the second of these seat I have purchased in the last 10 years, and I can’t fault them. They look the part and love the ‘soft close’ lid. Definitely worth paying a bit extra….& even better when in the sale!

As it said on the box best seat in the house just moved to a new home with no soft closure toilet seat which is really annoying when your used to one easy to fit glad we got it .

derriere loving seat
My derriere would have loved this seat. Good quality, easy to fit, nice hinges but unfortunately too small. I measured the seat and it fitted but the hinges were too close to the seat which I overlooked so had to send it back. Good communication from purchase to return and no quibble refund so happy with customer service.
Toilet seat review
Good quality seat. Not slim line and modern looking like my last one. It’s a little off white compared to my toilet but I think that’s because it’s made out of wood and not plastic. Has a lovely sheen finish and the slow close is great. Overall a good solid product.

Arrived early. Well packaged. No damage. Perfect fit. Easy to attach. Looks smart. Only thing I hadn’t noticed from pictures is that it’s slightly slanted once in position. Not that that’s an issue as it’s only the lid not the actual seat. It’s how it’s designed.

Good quality item, easy to fit. Is slightly off white but very sturdy. Quick to close. Could benefit from a couple of more pictures to show the underside of the toilet seat and the fittings for the toilet when open and closed.

Looks good quality. However, the soft close is very, very slow and the instructions say not to force it. Can hardly paste a notice on it for the benefit of guests!
