Croydex Rutland Flexi-Fix Soft Close Round Oak Solid Wood Toilet Seat - WL602376H

I already had one of these solid oak toilet seats on my downstairs toilet so one my old wooden toilet seat upstairs broke, it was an obvious choice to get another one of these. Plumbworld offered the best price that I could find so I ordered it from them. However, the quick release fitting on one side of the the seat appeared not to engage fully with the mountings so I contacted Plumbworld, sending a video of that side of the seat lifting off the mounting. They immediately sent a replacement without quibbling and I didn't even have to return the faulty seat. I was very impressed with their service. The new seat fits perfectly and the soft close and quick release functions ae really good.

I have ordered two of these and fitted one. I found it quite straight forward to fit, but did need to read the instructions through a number of times as there are quiet a few steps and different options for different types of toilet. It looks lovely, fits the loo well, and is comfortable to sit on. I was impressed how flexible they could be and will fit both my back the the wall toilet (yet to be fitted) as well as my traditional toilet which not all seats have the ability to do. I wanted a solid wood seat - which this one is, with quick resease for easy cleaning - which this one is, and soft close - which this one is! Tick, tick, tick! Very happy!

Does what the description said and looks smart. Had a small issue as our toilet base dipped down near the fixing holes so only half the self sticking securing pad sealed so filled the gap to level it with heat gun glue and trimmed off and the the depth of the toilet fixing holes were shallow so the top fixing expansion inserts were too long but cut them down as stabiliser inserts and used the under fixing wing nuts and very secure with no side movement. So far so good with the self closing mechanism. Plumbworld best price at the time.

I am happy to say this is now the best seat in the house! That may sound odd, and you may feel this reflects on the rest of the house, but you would be mistaken. I did a lot of research before purchasing the seat, but by gorge it has impressed me! Not only to easy remove function, the soft close, the antibacterial design but the the style and quality of the wood leaves my guests impressed at a glance and jealous at a sit. I implore anyone looking for quality to buy this seat! You wont be disappointed!

The seat was excellent value. We checked other web sites for the same make and model. Plumbworld was cheap by a considerable amount. Read reviews that said to be sure the fitting instructions had to be followed fully. Did this and had no trouble at all

Good fit as described. Solid wood of a good weight and a very good soft close. Need to be careful not to stick the pads until seat is lined up as per the instructions but once fitted its never moved!

It certainly was not as easy to fit as the instructions and video seem to make out and in particular the sticky pad can cause major issues unless it is perfectly place which can be tricky if like me you have a confined space to work in. That said I eventually got there and it looks good, much nicer than the white seat it replaced.

Nice loo seat, well made but not so easy to fit to my Armitage Shanks Orion pan as it has ridges on both sides at the back. Would have been a doddle if it was flat! One hinge moved as I was tightening it up, and I'm trying to obtain a replacement. Other than that really pleased with the Rutland Toilet Seat.

Overall very pleased with the toilet seat- makes our small downstairs loo quite classy! I didnt find the fitting so easy but persevered and hopefully it will remain stable.

Impressed with the speedy 'no quibble' service, although ugh I do question why the first shoddily produced toilet seat was shipped at all. The replacement is much better.

Solid seat and great texture. Nice soft-close feature and fairly straight forward to fit. Just hope the chrome parts last as long as the seat.
