Standard showers can have hot temperature spikes when others in the house turn on taps or flush the toilet.
Thermostatic control means that this shower will hold its temperature steady at all times. It dynamically adjusts the hot and cold water offsetting the everyday changes in water pressure experienced in most family homes.
Only a cold water supply required
Electric showers are by far the most convenient to install. They connect to a cold water supply only and not to your boiler, warming the water using an element inside the shower. So if you're worried about your brother, sister, partner or anybody else using all the hot water in the house then this electric shower is certainly for you. 4 Different maximum temperature settings
With the Mira Advance it’s now even easier to set a maximum temperature. You have a choice of 4 different maximum temperature settings that can be changed at the flick of a switch during installation thanks to the really clever PCB unit.
What is limescale?
Sometimes it can be hard to tell if your shower is suffering from a build-up of limescale as most of the damage is done internally. In some cases you will get a chalky residue appearing on your shower head which will be a good indicator that it’s also inside the shower unit.
People living in hard water areas are definitely more susceptible to limescale so it’s critical to buy a shower that can effectively deal with it otherwise you may have to replace your appliances before you think.
How does Mira Clearscale™ help?
Mira have designed their showers with longer heating elements and larger gaps between the coils ensuring that the heating tank produces a consistent temperature and eliminating hot spots which is where the limescale builds up.
Delayed shutdown also assists by flushing out any leftover hot water.
Mira shower heads
The nozzles on Mira shower heads also help deal with limescale due their rub-clean nature. A soft cloth can be used to simply wipe away any build ups keeping your shower head looking clean and functioning perfectly.
10mm cable size
The right size cable depends on the kW rating of your shower. The higher the rating the greater the flow of heated water will be, so you need to be sure to choose the correct cable size for your shower. This particular shower recommends using a 10mm cable.

A BEAB Care Mark approved product will guarantee a stable water temperature. It also guarantees that the user will protect from scalding if there were rapid changes in incoming water temperatures. This was a replacement item for a similar Mira advanced shower. Fortunately all the screw holes and water inlet connection lined up with the new one exactly which saved me some grief. I was a little suspicious that this might have been a reconditioned item as it arrived with water already inside the internal unit !? But all seems to be working just fine now. Mira Advance Thermostatic Electric Shower
We are in the process of having a new bathroom fitted. The bath has been removed and we have now a walk-in shower. We were recommended by Mark from Aquatec Plumbing and Heating to buy this particular shower unit. We have had Mira shower units before but this is completely different. More power and it does what it says on the tin. Looks like good buy. Would recommend to friends and neighbours.
Replacing Mira electric shower
Purchased as a replacement for a Mira shower that I had for many years. Shower sent was faulty, no problem, as a replacement was sent within a couple of days. It was easily fitted, no drilling required as all fitting holes and water inlet corresponded with old unit. I'm happy with the new shower and customer service received. A wonderful electric shower
The Mira Advance shower leaves nothing to chance. Sleek and efficient as always with Mira showers. The 9.8 kw model has 50% less scale build up and gives out a constant temperature and good mains pressure. I would highly recommend this shower for trouble free and enjoyable showering with excellent ongoing service support in the unlikely event of a problem.

I checked that this was a direct replacement for my older model and was told that there would be no mods. required to the plumbing or electrics. A couple of spanners and screwdrivers later the replacement was in, up and running. Well done to Mira for keeping the crucial design of the back plate for that model the same. Grateful customer

Bought to replace 18 year old Mira advance. Like many have said, straight replacement, no drilling holes and or rerouting pipe work and electrics. Even shower rail matched up. Thanks Mira for backward compatibility. Shower Head not as powerful as previous but worth it for no hassle replacement. Plumbworld cheapest and great on delivery.

Hassle free

Had an 8.7kw mira advance before this shower and the difference is night and day. More power equals more/better pressure which in turn gives you a better showering experience. Feel like i spend more time in shower now..so glad i made this purchase. Highly recommend.

Replacement Shower
Our 20 year old Mira shower needed replacing urgently and this was delivered the next day. The plumber installed it in less than half an hour using the existing fixings and we're extremely happy with its performance.

A very good shower unit but needs clearer installation instructions
This shower was purchased to replace an existing Mira Advance unit where the casing had unfortunately started to break up. The new shower is a fine working unit with plenty of options and safety features to help those with extra needs. The only downside was that the installation instructions did not make it clear that the ribbon cable from the front panel to the main PCB needed connecting. This led to some wasted time trying to work out why the unit didn't want to start after installation!
Great replacement
This shower replaced a similar model which had given up the ghost, on account of water getting in, probably due to some overzealous cleaning! Delighted with it, the only small negative is that as the housing of the hose is sort of fixed, so you cannot release it fully to aid cleaning the shower. By far the cheapest online and arrived ahead of schedule. Great service Plumbworld, will definitely be using you again!
Great Shower
Bought this to replace my failed Mira Advance ATL. Didn’t have to drill or move any cable. Fitted in the existing holes. The only criticism is that the shower head seems to give slightly less pressure than the original ATL but you can swap the heads over and get the little extra pressure back.
Efficient shower
Very happy with the shower unit bought to replace one fitted 10 yrs ago. We prefer that it isn’t a power shower and so far it is simple to use and temperature control is excellent.
