Aesthetically pleasing.

The Mira Event XS Power Manual White-Chrome has a very aesthetically pleasing modern design and looks good. More importantly, it is powerful and effective and provides an excellent shower experience. I was not sure if it would be any better than the old Mira that it replaced, but I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to discover that it is in fact more powerful. I hoped that the new one would fit where the old one did. So I did some checking before buying this one. The piping was exactly the same, but I had to drill new holes, which was a little tricky given my poor (read pathetic!) DIY skills. I also found it difficult to establish a firm connection, to avoid it leaking, but after several attempts, and a bit of jiggling to get the unit lined up with the drill holes I managed it. This is more due to my inexperience than anything to do with the product. A good plumber would have had fewer problems than I had in fitting it. Overall, I am very pleased with my new shower and at my brilliant DIY skills in fitting it! Also, I should mention that Plumbworld’s price was the cheapest I could find on the Internet, which was a huge plus. If you are replacing an old Mira or any other power shower, or are looking for one for the first time, then I thoroughly recommend buying this one from Plumbworld.

The best shower ever!

I think the fact that Ive just replaced my very well used (and abused) Mira event XS power shower with an identical model sums up my feelings very well. I had the last shower for over twelve years and it was brilliant so last night we replaced it with the same model. We probably could have had the old one repaired but I felt that due to its age and the fact that it had never previously caused us any problems, it would be worth replacing. The shower unit is slimline and very easy to operate and regulate the water temperature. Its build is of a high quality. The nozzle on the shower can be turned to adjust the water flow which I find especially usefull for hair washing etc. as the jet wash is really powerful!Whenever Ive had visitors, theyve always commented on the shower and, incidentally, never on my cooking!!! I think that just about sums up everything I have to say. My advise is that if this model of shower is suitable for your plumbing system you really can't go wrong.

No design change, fitting is Oh So Simple

Bought to replace one that had died, a real bonus that all fixings, electrical connections and water inlet tubes were in the same places as the one I bought in 2008. Just one negative, the top and bottom blanking covers are very loose fitting, the top one fell into the cavity wall and couldn't be retrieved, however the kind Customer Services person at Mira showers after laughing a my predicament sent replacements free of charge. Using Sellotape as a Plan 'B' fixed the problem. The shower is so easy to use and I'm really happy with the performance.

I bought this shower as a direct replacement for the one that broke. The old one was over 15 years old and had been very reliable. My wife and daughter were very upset when the old shower had broken and my wife asked if I could get the same make and model to replace it. I got straight on to Plumbworld, found the shower, ordered it and received it the next day. It took about 45 minutes to remove the old shower and fit the new one. Looks better, works better. Superb replacement

I purchased this mira shower to replace a mira shower that had been in service for 15 years plus! The old one had finally let go and we had decided to replace with an updated version. The new one is quieter and only needs turning up to half power and even then its extremely powerful! Whats more it nearly matches the old shower template meaning only a little grouting to make right. The hot and cold inlets are in exactly the same spot. Overall delighted with the shower and the service provided from Plumbworld.

Fantastic purchase

This was bought as a replacement for exactly the same shower that we inherited when we purchased our house. I believe the old one was over 15years old so had lasted well. Our plumber was able to fit this quickly as the pipes were all in the same place, he only needed to re position a couple of screws. Having bought the same shower as a replacement speaks volumes! Great Shower & Price

This was purchased to replace an elderly Mira Event Shower which had served its purpose over quite a few years. Installation was very easy and the shower itself proved to be far more powerful than our old model. The head of the shower has different settings and the controls themselves are very easy for the Kids in the Family to use. Mira Event XS - a High Quality Shower

When our old Mira shower failed our immediate thought was can we replace with a similar shower? Over sixteen years our old one had given our family an estimated 20,000 showers. Renewing Old Faithful

When my old faithful New Team power shower after 15 years finally died,I realized I would have to get a replacement. After a little research I decided on the Mira event xs,I have not regretted it. I followed the easy to understand installation instructions to the letter,and as my ratings above show I am highly delighted with my purchase. The Shower Shop purchase and delivery system was also excellent.

Mira Power shower and Plumbworld service

I have had an ensuite bathroom completely refurbished and ordered a replacement for the Mira shower which has been excellent for many years. The bathroom fitters claimed that the shower was faulty. I contacted Plumbworld and they immediately agreed to send a replacement and collect the first one. The was first class service and the replacement shower is providing us with splendid showers.

Excellent shower

Having had a Mira shower for the past 20 years perform faultlessly so we bought the new version when we refurbished our bathroom. Great thing about this was the fact that the pipes were all in the same place so no mods needed for fitting which made life a lot easier, and the usual Mira quality is apparent with this unit as well. I look forward to another 20 years with this one!

All round superb shower for heavy family usage!

Weve had our last Mira Event XS for eleven year now and its been a brilliant shower. Were just starting to have a couple of niggles (wear and tear here the kids have been swinging on the hose etc)with it but due to its age and the fact that my husband and I are not very practical people weve decided to replace rather than repair it with an identical model.

From order to fitting was 2 days. All water and electrical connections needed no modification to allow replacement from 12 year old Mira Event(sq box)a couple of holes reqd for the new fixing points. Installation completed within 2 hours up and running. Cannot fault the service, I hope to return to replace this one in another 12 years of daily use.

The best shower you,ll ever buy

I had already brought this model over 10yrs ago and was amazed that you could still buy the same one. The design and fittings has not changed and it took aprox 10 mins to install. I would highly recommend the mira event xs. The only reason we had to replace it, was because the motor had worn out. Not bad for 10yrs of use everyday by 3 people.

Very smooth transaction

We had a problem with our existing power shower (probably excessive use after 5 years in a hard water area) , My Husband seemed to think that the pump motor had gone. we trawled the net for a similar product by Mira at a reasonable cost.

Best Replacement

I had a recessed New Team 3000 Power shower fitted, unfortunately the pump started to leak,the 3000 now is obsolete with no spares available. The Mira Event XS is an excellent replacement shower for my 15 year old New Team.

Excellent Service from order to delivery

Its a basic shower. The power knob goes from zero to full power in a quarter turn, so its easy to put it on full power. It seems to use a lot of water, compared to our previous (also basic) shower. A couple of times, Ive run out of hot water, which never happened on the old one. Maybe thats because were using it at more power than the old one. The shower head on its widest setting has quite a large empty space within the ring of water. Not a deal breaker, but it feels odd to me. Otherwise, its fine. Theres nothing really wrong with it, although ugh if I can be bothered, I might check our water usage after a few months to see if theres a significant increase. Bear in mind, Im not an expert and all Ive got to compare this to is my old shower, which was similar spec.

Power shower

This is a very good shower. Purchased to replace a previous power shower which operated with no power if necessary, any prospective purchasers should be aware power showers now only operate with power and not assume they will work in the same way as any being replaced. Shower head height adjustment fittings are shorter and smaller diameter than previous so we retained old fitting temporarily to give more height adjustment and may well purchase a separate longer fitting but as it is usually just me using this there is not often a need to adjust this. This potential problem would depend on heights of users.

Good shower

I called the warehouse twice and spoke to two separate people- both helpful though the second (a woman) was friendly, professional and pleasant too. Item arrived quickly (ordered end of week, arrived Monday with excellent dispatch arrangements and timings). It was the best priced example of this shower I could fid and matched the description and specifications perfectly.

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

Bought this Mira Event shower to replace very old equivalent one which had burnt out. Only had fitted for a couple of weeks at my daughters house. She is VERY fussy about having a powerful shower and she is thrilled with this one. A true test indeed!
