Mira Event XS Thermostatic Power Shower with Pump - White & Chrome 1.1532.400

This is a great shower. Controllable pressure allows you to use the minimum of water - good for the bills and the environment, controllable temp works well. Its worth noting that although ugh all the connections are in the same place as older versions of this shower, the casing is larger and curved. For me, this was a problem as the pipes curved into the old shower and clashed with the new casing. Short job to adjust by my friendly neighbourhood plumber though. Its quite expensive - but they last forever (my last one was about 12 year old). The Eco setting on the shower head works really well and seems to give great coverage and pressure - not all air bubbles like some alternatives.

This is our second Mira Event XS thermostatic power shower. The first one lasted 10 years without any problems, other than replacing the shower head – we live in an area with a lot of limescale. Ten years on, the design hasnt changed – so it fitted straight onto the old pipework and works just as well – in fact, even better! It seems a lot quieter and smoother. And the shower head itself is a simpler, better design. Ive used lots of showers in 5-star hotels that are not as powerful as this – with the choice of four settings, the invigorating, vibrating, pulsating setting is grew for relaxing and getting a head massage!

I previously had a Mira Essentials power shower which had given 6 years service but had developed a leak in the water shut-off solenoid valve. Rather than try to replace the valve, I decided to replace the entire unit since it was all looking a bit shabby anyway. The Mira Event XS was a good match and I found I could use some of the original holes in the tiles for the shower head rail. The fit was easy enough since everything was in the same place. I found the temperature control knob very difficult to remove though. Im pleased with the new shower and with the customer service from Plumbworld.

Am currently borrowing my sons flat whilst renovating our new house. The flat has had one of these shower units fitted for over 4 years - once I used it, I realised how fabulous they are so I had to have one for our new house. We bought this shower to replace one of the same model that we had used for 18 years. The new one fitted nicely in the place of the old one. I like the fact that you can leave the settings as you like them and just press a button which you couldnt do previously. I think that the new one is quieter from the outside of the bathroom than the old one, but is perhaps just a bit noisier on the inside (although having used it for a few weeks now, I dont really notice it).

I had tried to locate this particular shower but nobody seemed to stock it. It is a terrific unit and I have had many in my time in other houses. It was very very expensive from Mira but I managed to find it at Plumbworld. It was much cheaper and I duly ordered it. It is now installed and working beautifully and I am very grateful for the the way Plumbworld dealt with my order and for the extremely efficient delivery. A good company to deal with, thank you.

This is a brilliant shower, we have just moved into a new house and the shower here was burnt out so I google many showers as we had never come across a pumped shower before, my final decision on this one was the fact that it said it was quiet and it is!!! It was so easy to fit I did it myself and its very powerful and I dont even have the power level on high!! I love the massage setting, I would highly recommend this pumped shower :)

This is a replacement for one of our Mira Event S thermostatic and each has lasted around 10 years with the odd replacement front panel. Two of them are over 12 year old, each time easy to fit as the fittings are the same! Plumbworld offer an excellent service and speedy delivery, it is an expensive shower but when you consider how long they last and Plumbworlds price makes it excellent valu!

My old Mira Event failed after long and reliable service. The new Event XS is a great replacement - even better than the previous. Screw holes are in a slightly different place, but easily overcome. The pipework fixings and position are identical so makes plumbing in very easy. Overall, a great performing shower with easy to operate controls, good looks and easy installation.

We installed a Myra Shower ten years ago and were very pleased with it, especially as it was used more than four times daily, and it stood the test of time and durability. When its life came to an end we had no doubt about installing another. We bought the same again and had no problems installing it into the previous fixings. It was used straight away and so far so good.

I bought this shower to replace an existing Mira Event which had given over 10 years service as we were replacing the whole bathroom. I took the opportunity to upgrade to the thermostatic model which is a useful enhancement to an already good shower. The spray force of this power shower is really impressive and is far superior to a standard electric shower.

Okay maybe not that quiet but compared with the beast it replaced it may as well be. Even on the Eco setting it produces plenty of what feels like soft spray. The other settings look interesting but neither of us has had the courage to use the massage one which is particularly fierce but will prove useful for cleaning the bath.

This product was to replace an old Mira shower which wed had for about 20 years so had done sterling work. This new one looks extremely neat and smart and works very efficiently. Once set to the temperature and flow required, all that is needed to turn on or off is a press of one button, easy! All in all an excellent product

Id had my first Mira Event XS for about 10 years when it broke down because of an internal leak. I had been really pleased with the product and replaced it with exactly the same shower, so I knew what to expect. I didn't really believe the delivery time as I thought it was a bit too good to be true, but I was wrong!

This is the third shower of this model I have purchased the first two lasted about 25 years. They were all the same model so installation was easy. The shoer head is a great improvement on previous models. When I stay in a hotel I judge how good it is by the shower and this model id better than many 5 star hotels

I was led to believe this was one of the best power showers on the market and I am not dissapointed . Not the cheapest but good value and the quality of the construction is apparent when looking inside the unit whilst fitting . Easy to use , quiet, and it seems like a good spares back up should it ever be needed

This unit was purchased to replace an old Mira Event shower, (non thermostatic) which was losing power after many years of use. The thermostatic upgrade makes a huge improvement, and the single button stop/start make it near perfect to use - and it is considerably quieter than the previous model!

What an excellent product which meets all my expectations. Well worth the expenditure as it provides good choices on the water flow and the temperature control. Aethestically pleasing which matches all my other sanitary ware. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to my friends.

My old Mira shower sadly came to the end of its working life and a replacement was a necessity. I contacted Mira and they suggested the Event XS which proved most suitable as it had similar experiences dimensions as its predecessor and fitting was simple and the shower works well.

Our old shower was a Mira and 14 years old before giving up. Decided to replace it with another power shower. This shower does all it claims (and a bit more). it has four shower patterns, including the eco setting, all giving an excellent shower with plenty of water.

I purchased this to replace an earlier model model (lasted 9 years) that had simply worn out. The new one has been modernised but all the essential fittings and connection points remain unchanged so it was easy to replace the old unit. Looks very smart.

Quiet and easy to operate. Water flow and temperature dials allow a good range of choices for flow and heat, depending on your personal preferences. My husband says I stay in it a long time which is true because it is so refreshing to be in.

We are very happy with the product and the service we had. Found it a bit more powerful than our oke one which we had installed 10 years earlier and as we are now in our 80's, We did find it easy to control after usig it a few times .

Got this as an over bath shower as a reserve but its actually miles better than our main shower. Amazing pressure compared with what was little more than a dribble before with simple gravity. Wish we had done this years ago.

Bought to replace a 20 year old Mira event. If it lasts as long as the old one then that will be fine:). No problems fitting but some easy confusion using the newer controls, suppose after time will get used to them!.

This was a like for like purchase, my old Mira lasted around 10 years. I had been waiting to replace it as it was stuck on full power, so after the on/off button got stuck on, I thought it was time replace it. This is a good powerful shower, it’s a little noisy while using it as it’s a power shower. Although the thermostat dial is large, I would say that you only have a low and high and no middle point (my old Mira seemed to be more responsive). They have improved the shower hose by adding a plastic covering, which will make it easy to clean (stop mould on the hose). One bit that they changed which I really don’t like is the lever to move the shower head up and down, you can’t get a grip of it when you have suds all over your hands, it’s the worse design ever. Wasn’t overly keen on the new design shower head, much preferred the old style so have kept that one on. I don’t understand why you would change a good design that worked. So a little disappointed with some changes, but still rate this shower as good.

Bought this to replace a Mira Event that weve had since 1998 after it gave up the ghost. plumworld was significantly cheaper than anywhere else and the delivery was very prompt. I had hoped the new shower would fit exactly as the old one, but we had to re-drill the mounting holes. Apart from that, the plumbing and electrics were very simple and a direct replacement. Because the new unit is a slightly different shape, it did leave one of the old holes showing, but no great drama. The shower itself is fine, though it doesnt feel quite as powerful as the old one - but not sure if thats down to the different shower head that comes with the new one? Overall, very pleased with the new shower and an easy direct replacement for the old one. Hope it lasts as long as well!?

The unit arrived promptly. I arranged a plumber to come and fit it, as a replacement for our previous Mira shower of the same type, which we had had for over 15 years. The new unit was quite awkward to fit but it works ok. The only thing is it sometimes makes a different noise - a bit harsher - than at other times, as though something is vibrating when the shower is running. So far I have taken no action on this but prefer to see how it gets on over time.

Excellent delivery, the day after ordering. Plumber fitted shower within 3 hours, old Mira event was replaced with thermostatic version. There was no disruption of tiles or pipework through the ceiling, very quick and neat. The only thing I would comment on is the fact that the new Mira pump is noisier than the old one but that could be due to the fact the old pump was wearing out and not working properly.

Very good powerful shower. The unit itself is very sleek in design and fits really nicely with white bathroom tiles. Functionally very easy to use and a great spray. The only issue with this is that it is a little noisy but this is what you get with power showers. It's not noisy due to the model itself. I would recommend this and would buy it again...........from Plumbworld too!

This is our 3rd Mira Event XS - not because they keep breaking but because we keep moving! Its a reliable power shower with simple yet effective controls. Weve never bothered to install the enclosed soap dish as its never been needed. Couldnt tell you what its like to fit but the plumbers always seem happy.

Thermostatically controlled so you wont be scalded when someone uses the loo. Great looking and was relatively easy to install. Works well and easily adjusted. Glad we chose this model.

We were incredibly disappointed when this shower failed immediately after installation due to a manufacturing defect. Mira refused to replace it but insisted on a repair. Their customer service was unimpressive. They accused us of using the shower for commercial purposes even though their engineer had visited our home. Plumbworld, from whom we bought the shower, were excellent and offered an immediate replacement at no cost but we had already had to call our installer out to investigate the failure. We didn't want more disruption or expense. So we have a brand new shower that's already been repaired.
