To know whether the replacement will work, you’ll need to compare your existing system setup. Here are the things to check:
Water system type
If your current Aqualisa / Bristan units are part of a mains pressure / unvented / high-pressure system, then Mira’s power shower may not be compatible, because it’s designed for low-pressure gravity-fed systems.
Pipe size, spacing and position
The Mira requires 15 mm feeds, dual entry. If your current piping is larger, or the spacing between hot and cold is different, you may need adaptors or rework plumbing.

My previous shower was 17 years old and hopless. It stopped working on Thursday just before the bank holiday, and I found this Mira on your site ordered it on the Friday and had it by Saturday morning. Both your site and service was excellent. As I was fitting this myself I needed to know fully inadvance all of the requirments for the fittings, particularly as it had to cover then access hole in the wall tiles from the previous shower, so I knew fully access points, power supply and mounting points, and being able to download the instructions from your site made this simple. The cost even with delivery on a Saturday was the best on the web. It was delivered just before midday and up and working by 5.00PM. As a gravity feed shower I had some concerns over the supply rate, but when I first turned it on I was not expecting it to blast from one end of the bath to the other. The shower is fairly compact, access to all fittings is very easy. The internal pump is clearly audible in the kitchen downstairs but it is much quieter than a floor mounted pumped shower that I had before, that also gave vibrations. It produces an wonderful spray from the shower head, that has five patterns to chose from, and gives an invigorating shower experience. There are 4 of us inthe house who use it daily and everyone agrees that it is a great improvement and both a pleasure and simple to use. It is more powerful than an electric shower, we have one in an onsuite,and my wife wants me to buy this Mira showerhead as supplied with this unit so we can match the patterns of the head, if not the output.
Compaired with other similar products the value and purchase cost is brilliant. There is no need to buy a shower with loads of push buttons, lights,bells and whistles this is simple piece of kit, just have it installed and turn the dial. In fact it is so flexible with the output
supply that we dont even have to turn the unit up to half way, this does not seem to dramatically
impact on the either the flow rate or the heatout put, so reducing water consumption and noise from the pump.Even better, after giving yourself a good dreching in just a minute or so from start up, you can switch it off, soap up or wash your hair, twist the dial for instant hot water, just were you left it, again saving water and energy, on the otherhand if you want just to relax under a fast flowing shower just turn it full on and enjoy. I would fully recommend this shower to anyone looking for a powered unit, as long as your supply meets the required flow from the tank, you will have a very powerful shower.You will not be disapointed.
Great shower Mira Vigour
Bought this shower to replace my old Mira shower which broke down after 10 yrs of great service. I ordered it on the thurs and it arrived on the sat, but when my plumber was fitting it, it wouldn't work the the gear for the dial that turns the water on wouldn't click like it was ment to, so i had to register my shower on the Mira website for my guarantee, and phoned Mira the next day they had one of thier men come out the following day he put a new part in the shower and hey presto it was in great working order. It is a great shower very powerfull just as good as my old Mira shower but for a fraction of the price. I would highley recommend the Mira Vigour power shower it fits the same pipe work as my old Mira and it is the same size as my old shower. Over all very satisfied with my new purchased, thanks very much Plumbworld you are the cheapest Mira supplier on the internet with a great aftercare service. Well done keep up the great work.

I had spent a long time trying to find the right shower at the right price and was begining to give up when i came across the plumbworld website. The shower arrived in just a couple of days and we fitted it on the weekend. One of the components was cracked however and I contacted plumbworld who asked me to email a photo of the broken component in order for them to order it from their supplier - I sent that photo on the monday afternoon and when I came home on the wednesday it had arrived! Amazing! I told the lads in the pub about it (many of them tradesmen) and the general consensus was that if a customer does have a problem its an opportunity for you to prove yourself - Plumbworld did just that and I recommend them 100%
Excellent Value for Money
My previous power shower broke and i was a bit short of money. I went online found plumbworld and saw this shower. It fitted my bill perfectly and within 24 hours plumbworld emailed me to let me know they had my order and what time it was going to be delivered. The item arrived exactly on the day it was supposed to (4 days after i placed my order) and the instructions were easy to understand for my plumber to install it. The shower is very quiet running which is excellent as I don't wake up my others when i'm having a shower very early in the morning. It doesn't look like the most beautiful shower ever but it certainly does the job very well and is excellent value for money. Highly recommend Mira as a brand.
Excelent shower
This shower replaced an old Mira Event which had proved a good buy, the new Event shower is considerably more expensive than the Vigour though the Vigour does the same job as my old Event. The Vigour has the same layout as the old Event so installation was easy. The shower is very quiet and provides excelent flow of water, can't fault it, though may have bought the thermostaticaly controled version if wife hadnt just been made redundant.
Middle fastening hole is behind the water inlet pipe which is a bit awkward.
Main problem is that the shower head/rail can't be used in a corner shower, I had to use the old rail and holder which doesnt fit the new head very well.

Highly recommend this superb shower. It is easy to use and really quiet too so the whole family don't realise you are taking a shower. It has one large dial with two features making it simple to use. The flow dial lies flat to the case of the shower with the temperature dial just in front making it easy to use with one hand. It is pure luxury and a must for a large family like ours where it is used daily for everybody. An easy to use adjusting pole for the shower head so all sizes of family can adjust simply. Very well priced so well affordable and economical to run so our whole family can shower without running out of hot water-essential when theres lots of you.

Very Pleased
I ordered this unit on the basis that it was a direct replacement for my old Mira Event shower which had finally packed up (around 20 years old). It arrived next day (thanks Plumbworld !) and I was able to fit it straighaway. The water inlets (H + C) are indeed in a similar position, making fitting easy - it was more trouble removing the old unit, which after 20 years did not want to disconnect...! The new shower is quieter, more powerful and more efficient - very happy with it.

Fab shower
We bought this to replace an old power shower which had burnt out. It was the cheapest reasonable replacement and I am so delighted with it. The water pressure is very low as we have spring water in our village, but this shower is really strong. We also have a Mira event xs in another bathroom and I much prefer this one as it is quieter and much more powerful.

I really do shop around on the internet when I want something. This really was the cheapest I could find it and it was by quite a big margin (about £20) which is a fair amount. The item was ordered on Sunday and it arrived on my doorstep on Tuesday on the standard delivery. It was well packaged. The shower itself was to replace an existing Mira shower which had come to the end of its useful life. The handy thing about Mira showers are that the pipe connections to the new unit were exactly in the same location as the old one (even though it was a newer model) - this made replacing the entire shower pain free and quick!! The shower itself is well built, sturdy and gives a pretty impressive burst of water - I only need to have the power setting halfway. The temperature setting can be quite sensitive but once you have found the right temp there's no need to touch it.
2nd time around
This is the 2nd maybe 3rd one of these showers we have purchased each one lasted about 4 years which not bad for family of 5. The only thing this time was the shower head it had no power to it and no adjustment. When we put our previous one on it was twice as powerful, so would think some people buting this would maybe not be happy with power when it is really the head.

It was a replacement for an obsolete shower and I chose it because of the versatility of the pipework positions in the unit. The pipework covers for the pipe cut-outs in the main cover were a little bit fiddly.
Like the shower as it has variable flow control and temp control.
The unit was a little bit noisier than the previous shower we had but perfectly acceptable.

In my view this model is very good value above the Event XS, basic in controls. Excellent flow and power. The hope being is that we have at least 4-5 years use from this one, albeit given the replacement cost this Mira Power Shower is excellent value for money
I bought this shower as a replacement for a 10+ year old Mira Event. Plumbed in as a straight replacement so no extra plumbing or wiring.
My only criticism is that the blanking covers are flimsy and don't click into place very well.
will be ordering another to replacement for our second shower.
Great unit easy to fit
This shower unit was purchased to replace an olver version.
Plumbing and wiring were in the same place so dead easy to fit.
Work well too with goo flow and temperature control.
The only negative is that it is a bit noisy and transmits noise into the wall which travels around the house.

After having had the same power shower for over 3 years. It finally gave up the ghost. I purchased a Mira power shower, and wow the difference. So quite, not so powerful but i think it will save some money. I think i will stick with Mira i am well chuffed with the product

I bought this to replace our old Mira shower (after reading several reviews). Didnt have to adjust old pipework, which was a bonus. Compared to old shower it is quieter and works great, much prefer to electric showers.

Plumbing for Idiots
Eek! My Mira Event power shower suddenly went Kaput (not what a single lady needs), and the plumber blithely said on the phone, Oh,just buy another and Ill be round in a week to fit it. So first I went into a local plumbers merchants - where I felt distinctly out of place and they quoted me an astronomical price. Next, onto the internet I went, still barely even knowing how to spell the word MIRA. But I need not have worried! The Plumbworld website was just what was needed. I found the Vigour, a much cheaper but virtually identical model for almost a third of the price quoted locally for the Event, and thanks to all the info in the website was able to order it easily and confidently! The product literally arrived the next day, in solid packaging, and Bingo, the plumber fitted it in the time it took to drink a cup of tea, and without having to move anything or leave holes in the tiling, and normal service was resumed. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the shower. And also I commend the excellent service from Plumbworld - what stands out is that you dont need to be a hardened DIY-handyman to find what you need, and you get good service regardless of who you are or what youre buying, which is great. Pats on the back all round.
Great Replacement
Having had a Mira Event (model T) for some time, when that finally died I had concerns about replacing it - mainly as the pipework comes down through the bathroom ceiling. Checking with other suppliers didn't help me any, but a quick check on the Web produced this supplier.
Not only was I able to check out the manual on line (and see the very minor fitting differences) but I was also able to confirm that this replacement shower unit could take pipework coming down from above.
As to the unit itself? Apart from the more attractive, cosmetic changes to the case, and the need to re-drill two of the mounting points to match up with the new motor support chassis, it was a simple and easy replacement.
On the up-side. The unit is more quiet and less bulky in some respects.
On the down side. The new shower head has a wider fitting, and different holder bar. Easily solved by keeping the old head (etc)
All in all, a perfect replacement at a killer price

Having had to replace an aging Mira shower, as this old shower gave us excellent service lasting 20 years,
The Mira shower website was searched to find an excellent replacement, it did not take long to find a replacement model which ticked all the boxes for both my wife & myself due to both our mobility health issues a shower is an important kit to have in our bathroom,
Having had our new Mira shower assy fitted & been using it nearly every morning now for three weeks, the various spray patterns from the shower head we find brings much relief to our aching bodies, this Vigour power shower is off excellent quality & comes highly recommended again ticking all the boxes, this shower assy I found to be easily fitted by a competent DIY householder as it comes with a great set off fitting instructions again easily read, I myself was able to fit this shower unit in under 2 hrs, looking forward to having a lovely massaging shower for many years to come.
Exceptional Value for Money
Thoroughly chuffed with this power shower. I thought our old Triton was good, but this thing is a bad boy. The head provides a really big spread of water at a hefty flow rate, so not one for hippies, but makes for a fantastic shower! Temperature controls are very good and easy to adjust beyond factory settings. Fairly quiet operation too. I'd say it looks better in situ than in photos as well (why do power showers all look so boring?)Good instructions and a pretty easy DIY install. Personally I thought the soapdish looked a bit cheap and vulnerable so I left it off. Most importantly, overall, its just amazing value for money at this price. Even other certain large DIY providers online are charging double this price!
It should be noted for DIY plumbers...the cold supply is on the right, and you need vertical input piping, so it might mean some replumbing if you're replacing an existing shower. I wouldnt even hesitate in getting another.

After placing my order online, i literally blinked and my new shower was here, well done Plumbworld, excellent speedy service ! Taking it out the box revealed a lovely new shiney unit which is replacing my moisy tired shower force after 9 years of service. Couldnt wait to get it fitted so off to the van and out came the tools.
Fitting was a breeze, electrical and plumbing connections all easily accesable, a slight plumbing change so the new unit covered the holes left in the tiles from the old unit and hey presto......I was listening to a lovely quite shower at last !
Off with the clothes and in I was, great performance, good settings on the shower head and easy to use controls with a max heat safety feature for my young lad.

First of all Plumbworld: I ordered the shower on the Internet on Sunday afternoon, and it was delivered on Monday morning! I couldnt believe it.
Next the shower: I have another Mira thermostatic shower, a standard mains pressure 9.5kw, which is excellent. This was a low pressure H-C power shower in another bathroom. I had to reverse the hot and cold feed relative to the old shower (another brand), but that was quite easy. Apart from that fitting and commissioning completely straightfoward and simple. Works excellently, maintains rock steady temperature in safe range, very quiet compared with old kit - nice to see the thought Mira put into this with rubber wall mountings to insulate vibration etc.
All in all, plumworlds price was very competitive, delivery like lightening, follow up excellent, and the shower a brilliant piece of kit. All highly recommended.
Always stop at plumbworld first
I can't believe what a difference a little research makes. Visited the 2 most well-known DIY retailers, desperately looking for a power shower when the plumbers were half way through upgrading the bathroom and discovered I needed one NOW! The very same item was £120 more expensive at both retailers, even though one of the stores was claiming it was 'ON SALE'.
I had no idea about plumbworld but found it on a google search. Clicked to buy as soon as I discovered the product I was looking for was available for delivery and so much cheaper (even when delivery costs were calculated). And it even arrived on a saturday.
I will always look here first from now on. The chance to save such a large amount on basic plumbing supplies is an offer too good to ignore. Very pleased.
Mira Vigour Power Shower
Motor went in our existing Mira shower after 10+ years. I looked at getting a new motor but it was £70 + postage. I was trying to find a similar shower to our existing one so we didn't need to get any of the pipework moved when came across this shower from Plumbworld. Price was excellent & delivered very quickly. Fitting very straightforward & did slot into our existing pipework. Only problem was we needed the shower on full heat to make it usable, so had to get the factory setting amended by the plumber. Not certain if this was unique to this model or Mira, but it is fine now.
Nice shower which is relatively quiet & produces a good spray from the shower head - I woudn't hesitate in recommending this shower & the price / service received from Plumbworld.

I was a little nervous going for a like-for-like replacement shower unit. My old Mira shower had been very noisy and quite temperamental before finally failing completely after 7 years of use. It was easy to find Mira Vigour showers but not all of them were the thermostatic version. Plumworld stocked both and were also the most competitive on price. I was happy to place an order with them.
The shower unit arrived promptly and was easy to fit for a fairly average DIYer like myself. What really pleased me is that the new unit is almost silent in use. A real plus and still makes me smile when I go for a shower. I wish I'd replaced the old one sooner. I hope this one gives me many years of good, reliable service but only time will tell. Best Power shower for the price
I had used an old Mira event power shower for 9 years and was very stisfied with it so when the pump on it died I decide a Mira shower was what I wanted.I searched the web as well as plumber supplies locally and could not find this shower at a better price anywhere. I e-mailed plumbworld to check that it would fit on the same pipe centres as my old shower and they confirmed it would. This shower was deliveerd within 3 days and fit straight onto the old pipes (as promised). Once fitted and wired up the shower was suprisingly powerfull and the device was unbelievably quiet. The whole family were suprised at the power and the quality of spray pattern.

Early days,but a fine powerful and easy to operate shower.
Temperature range from cold right through to a controlled hot is smooth with no noticable reduction in flow rate.
My only suggestion to Mira is that the little tool used to seperate the manifold from the inlet pipes is made of something more sturdier thn plastic-perhaps steel,as removing a defective shower can prove to be stressful with such a flimsy tool

We have had the Mira Event XS for many years when it finally stopped working. Originally we were going to get a direct replacement but on looking around found the Mira Vigour which was considerably cheaper. We are extremely pleased with the Vigour it is as good as the Event and in our opinion looks better as it only has one control. It is efficient as the Event for less money and according to my husband who hates plumbing easy to install !!
Mira Vigour Thermostatic Shower
I have the Vigour power shower installed above the bath next to an electric shower. The electric one is adequate in the summer, when I do not have a tankful of hot water for the power shower and the mains water is not too cold to be heated quickly enough for a good flow. The Mira power shower is ideal for the winter, when the house heating provides ready hot water, and the pump gives a generous flow (especially for washing the dogs quickly).

Originally ordered a triton shower but pluming on wrong side and one of the brackets was broken. We have had 2 mira showers in the past and this model was much cheaper and seems much better so far. The control is really simple, with just an inner and outer ring to control flow and temperature. there are, i think, 7 different settings for the shower head, but most seem the same. Even with the flow control relatively low to save on water and power, you can still get a very efficient shower.

Didn't know what I was missing
The Mira Thermostatic Vigour shower makes such a difference. Before I had a single control shower which meant each time you turned it off you had cold water both shutting down and turning on. With the Vigour once it is at the temperature set it is easy to turn on and off without that cold shock, also with the power, the spray patterns are just right. An excellent product, easy to install.

Purchased this shower to replace old mixer shower which was installed by the builder when house bought new 14 years ago.That was a Mira also.

Arrived well packed and accurate instructions meant it was fitted with no drama.Looks neat and works well.Well pleased with item and especially the supplier.A very minor gripe would be the fiddly plastic blanking off pieces supplied for top/bottom pipes which ended up being glued in place as the locating tags werent up to much.All in all a very good buy.

I replaced my 15 year old Mira Event with this shower and it's simply excellent quality, providing enough power at half power. The shower head gives a really good spread of water with several variations. I looked at the event but opted for the vigor because of the price and I am glad I did. After searching the web for a power shower which was value for money selected the mira vigour from world plumbworld. Checked several dealers but with clear details of vat and delivery costs this came as one of the cheapest for a good power shower. An excellent shower
Fitted as a replacement for a previous Mira shower of similar design. It give an excellent flow of water even at low power and good variation from the adjustable shower head.
The only criticism so far is that when you adjust the temperature it runs cold initially but within seconds adjusts.

Best Value Thermostatic on the Market
In my opinion this is the best value thermostatic shower on the market. Mira also sell one called the mira event XS which is overrated and overpriced compared to this one. Theres not much difference in them but about £200 price difference My advice do your researxh and you will see this is great value for money
Power shower with good pressure
Have used this model for the last two changes. Simple to use and would always go for the Thermostat version for safety.
I find they last 2-3 years but we use it daily 5 times as a family and 365 days per year so I think it is a robust system.
Price is good when you buy during the regular sale events.

Superb advice given that the Mira Vigour would almost be a direct swap out for my dying Mira Event. Fitted and operational within 2 hours. Easy instructions to follow, the product was delivered promptly, cannot get the children out of it now and it has cured their washing allergy!
Mira Vigour Thermostatic Power Shower
Almost exactly replaces an old Mira Event. Plumber had no trouble fitting it onto the same pipework, kept the original mounting brackets and rod that supports the shower head after a useful comment from another reviewer. Family pleased to have an easy to use functioning shower again
Brilliant shower
Living in a rural location with low water pressure, we have to use a power shower. This was to replace an older Mira model and is working well. The older one is 12 years old and was getting a bit noisy so having a new shower cubicle fitted was the best time to have a new shower.

Mira thermostatic power shower used as a replacement for Newteam 201. Whilst it needed pipe work to be re set to vertical rather than horizontal format. It WAS WORTH IT Superb controllable performance giving infinitely variable pump speed at CONSTANT temperature 5 STARS.
We're really pleased with this shower, our old one blew up and this one was ordered at the weekend and arrived Tuesday. We installed it and are really pleased with end result - it's much quieter than our old one, and doesn't cause interference with our TV reception!

This replaced a New Team 3000T power shower. I was able to use the same pipework and by adding a mains power feed the job was completed within a day. The shower delivers a very good flow rate and the temperature remains constant. Excellent product.

A bit noisy!
We bought this power shower as a replacement for a Pegler power shower which we had for 17 years until it stopped working. Whilst the Mira shower doesnt do anything wrong we have found that it is more noisy than the Pegler.

This Mira Vigour replaced an old Mira Event which had provided great showers for years, and only with one part replaced. The Vigour is as good as the old event with an even better shower head. Another satisfied customer.

Great product. Easy to fit with plenty of room for connections. Water pressure was low but the unit still provided an excellent shower. Needs to be on a solid wall or well insulated stud due to pump noise.(unavoidable)

Bought this shower as a replacement for a customer's Wickes Aquatronic own label thermostatic power shower.
A couple of on-line forums suggested the Wickes shower was an own-branded version of the previous Mira Vigour model and that they all shared the same hot and cold water inlet positions, so a swap wouldn't require any pipework modifications, which would help to keep down costs for the customer.
I phoned Mira to check on this, but it turned out that Wickes also used another supplier for the shower but kept the same model name.
Sod's Law decreed that my customer's shower was the 'other' type, so when the Mira Vigour arrived I still had to modify the pipework.
However, that still turned out to be worthwhile.
Reasonable power and good thermostatic control give this shower and excellent water flow across the temperature range.
The height adjustment button on the riser rail is hard to grip for those with mobility limitations and there is limited forward rotational movement of the shower head when it sits in the riser bracket.
The case is a little bit 'plasticky', with a slightly less than solid feel to the backplate and cover.
Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - reasonable price, decent performance, straightforward fitting, but beware if you think it's a swap-out for the old Wickes Aquatronic - check the exact model you have before buying if you're purchasing because you think there's no pipework to revise.
And then we fixed the plumbing!
The old Mira shower had been there for almost 40 years - can this be true? We moved in in 1978 and it seems to have been installed when the house was built in 1971. The old pink tiles and suite looked tired, so a complete bathroom refit was arranged.
We hadn't realised how bad the shower was - but perhaps the fact that we always took a bath tells something!
When installed the new power shower was noisy. The installer blamed the shower. WRONG!
Our hot water system was all furred up, so the hot water flow was too weak and air was being drawn into the system. In consequence the shower pump was running away. (This fault, we now know, was also what was causing it to take a long time to run a hot bath!)
We got in a plumber, and for only £66 he's replaced the ballcock and cleaned the system. Now we can get hot baths quickly - and we can also get a really good hot shower, with temperature maintained.
Who knows, we may even become converted to shower people at this rate!! This is a really good shower, at a very reasonable price. Looks good, too.

Fantastic Value for Money
For a Power Shower, this product was fantastic value for money from Plumbworld. You get an envigourating shower and have a choice of head settings to suit the whole family. If you want to save on your water bill the flow output can be reduced. A small niggle would be that the shower head pole does not come far enough away from the wall to allow you to turn the shower head to the side - which can be a problem when you have a corner shower like we do and want to warm up the water before you step in - as the spray head is facing the opening. Consider this if you are replacing an existing shower as we were. Also the motor is quite noisy so not ideal if the shower is close to a child's room. Apart from that I would recommend this completely, and the service provided by Plumbworld was second to none.
Does what it says!!
I previously had the version up from this one, but couldn't afford it this time, so i went for this one instead. It is no where near as powerful as the 'next one up' but after having a few showers in it, I'm starting to wonder if i really needed such a powerful shower before! This one works perfectly fine. I've never fitted a power shower before, so was a little nervous about doing so. However, on reflection, it was relatively straightforwards. Just remember to turn everything off and follow the instructions! PS I was replacing an existing power shower so it was easier than starting from scratch!

The power shower in operation and looks is very good, the ease of power and temperature control is excellent, the only problem is the design of the slider bar attachment to the wall is bad as it is not deep enough and does not allow the shower head to spray directly down that is because the shower hose is hard againstt the shower wall and the more you try to rotate the shower head downwards it then pushes the shower head and handle out of the socket.. it is rubbish and should be redesigned, I wrote to Mira but got no reply and finished up having to use the old slider bar and attachments.
Problem solved first time!
My daughter's existing Mira power shower (very old) failed and repair was uneconomic. The new Vigour model was an almost exact and very capable replacement that is now doing excellent service. Be warned, however, that whilst the manufacturers claim that no adjustment is required to existing feed pipes this isn't quite true as the new unit sits closer to the wall than the old one. A simple job turned into a fiddly one to get around this but nothing that can't be sorted with a bit of patience!
Quality as expected
The Mira Vigour is the perfect power shower if you don't have gas and need to use the low pressure gravity fed hot and cold tanks. This shower is typically built tho the highest standard and Mira quality. This is the 3rd Mira shower I've purchased and I have tried other brands but always returned.I recommend the thermostatic version, slightly more expensive, but worth it especially if you have kids. Plumbworld's price was the best value and delivery and aftersales excellent.
A few problems
goods delivered in good time, however found to have a damaged cover on unpacking. Plumbworld not very helpful in dealing with this only to give an incorrect number for Mira.
Mira customer sevice very good sent a new cover by return.
On installation another problem with shower (it would not switch off), did not bother calling Plumbworld called Mira direct and they arranged for an engineer to visit site to repair the fault.
Mira customer service is second to none.
Power shower
The product is quite up to usual mira shower quality. It delivers hot water at the required temperature and flow. One quibble, the shower position adjustment mechanism (to alter the height of the shower head) is very difficult for anyone with difficulty in pressing with their thumbs (e.g. arthritis sufferers). The older mechanism where a squeezing action was required was so much easier.

Installation was fairly straight forward. The unit was much smaller than I expected although ugh not the most attractive shower in the world it certainly did the job. The pressure is excellent and the different head setting work well. My inlaws have the same shower and we are both very happy with the purchase. I would recommend this if your current shower is a bit of a dribble - like ours was.
Great Shower
Very steady temperature control and good strong flow. Came with good clear installation instructions and is very simple to use. We had the same model before, and after several years (sorry can't remember exactly) it became noisy, but that was after very heavy use. Replacing it with the same again because in all other respects it was great, and it is very well priced.
Used this to replace Mira Event unit that was 10 years old.
Installation was easy due to the fittings being in the same place, but had to re-drill fixing positions, as the backplate is oval on the Vigour unit.
Temperature positions seem to be lower as on Mire Event 7-8 was fine, the Vigour unit requires to be at 9 / max tio achieve the same temperature.
Mira rules
A great power shower with minor issues. The pump is quite noisy and there is little different between half and full power. The plumber stated that who has a 9.5 mm drill bit required to mount on the wall. The shower head gives a subtle variation of spray patterns. This shower was a replacement for a New Team shower, and on balance would buy another Mira.

We bought this unit beacause our old one (showerforce) failed and could not buy parts anymore. Was looking to purchased a no frills quality power shower and this looked like it. Plumbworld was an excellent choice for this purchase.

Brought this shower to replace old mira powershower (20 years old) and am over the moon. Easy to fit, looks good however not as powerful as the old one but hey I am not complaining! Never brought of the interet before and was very impressed with the service I received. Will definitely do it again however hopefully not for another 20 years.
Great Power Shower
having looked at mains water fed power showers, which require a cold mains supply and up to 40amp heavy cable electrical supply I decided it was no go. When I discovered this alternative which simply plumbs into the H&C pipework of the bath and has a low amperage electrical supply it was ideal. No major fitting work and Mira quality!

To be honest, I haven't had the new Mira Vigour installed yet. But it's identical to the old one which has been going for 11 years or so and we've been very happy with it. Temperature is well controlled and water flow if anything is stronger than I'd like rather than less.

Mira Power Shower - solid shower
We have low water pressure (fed by cold water cistern in loft) and so needed a power shower. This Mira Vigour has worked very reliably so far, good pressure from the pump and simple to operate. Had it fitted by a plumber, who had no problems with it.

No nonsense buy

My third Mira in the last 20 years. Vigour is great for enclosures like mine, 1000X800 mm. Disappointed that it did not work on installation by a qualified plumber, had to wait a few days for a Mira engineer to repair it.

Shower works very well - my only niggle is that to turn off from full power is a 180 degree turn of the rotary knob - diffilcult to accomplish in one movement.

My previous shower was 17 years old and hopless. It stopped working on Thursday just before the bank holiday, and I found this Mira on your site ordered it on the Friday and had it by Saturday morning. Both your site and service was excellent. As I was fitting this myself I needed to know fully inadvance all of the requirments for the fittings, particularly as it had to cover then access hole in the wall tiles from the previous shower, so I knew fully access points, power supply and mounting points, and being able to download the instructions from your site made this simple. The cost even with delivery on a Saturday was the best on the web. It was delivered just before midday and up and working by 5.00PM. As a gravity feed shower I had some concerns over the supply rate, but when I first turned it on I was not expecting it to blast from one end of the bath to the other. The shower is fairly compact, access to all fittings is very easy. The internal pump is clearly audible in the kitchen downstairs but it is much quieter than a floor mounted pumped shower that I had before, that also gave vibrations. It produces an wonderful spray from the shower head, that has five patterns to chose from, and gives an invigorating shower experience. There are 4 of us inthe house who use it daily and everyone agrees that it is a great improvement and both a pleasure and simple to use. It is more powerful than an electric shower, we have one in an onsuite,and my wife wants me to buy this Mira showerhead as supplied with this unit so we can match the patterns of the head, if not the output.
Compaired with other similar products the value and purchase cost is brilliant. There is no need to buy a shower with loads of push buttons, lights,bells and whistles this is simple piece of kit, just have it installed and turn the dial. In fact it is so flexible with the output
supply that we dont even have to turn the unit up to half way, this does not seem to dramatically
impact on the either the flow rate or the heatout put, so reducing water consumption and noise from the pump.Even better, after giving yourself a good dreching in just a minute or so from start up, you can switch it off, soap up or wash your hair, twist the dial for instant hot water, just were you left it, again saving water and energy, on the otherhand if you want just to relax under a fast flowing shower just turn it full on and enjoy. Great shower Mira Vigour
Bought this shower to replace my old Mira shower which broke down after 10 yrs of great service. I ordered it on the thurs and it arrived on the sat, but when my plumber was fitting it, it wouldn't work the the gear for the dial that turns the water on wouldn't click like it was ment to, so i had to register my shower on the Mira website for my guarantee, and phoned Mira the next day they had one of thier men come out the following day he put a new part in the shower and hey presto it was in great working order. It is a great shower very powerfull just as good as my old Mira shower but for a fraction of the price. I would highley recommend the Mira Vigour power shower it fits the same pipe work as my old Mira and it is the same size as my old shower. Over all very satisfied with my new purchased, thanks very much Plumbworld you are the cheapest Mira supplier on the internet with a great aftercare service. Well done keep up the great work.

I had spent a long time trying to find the right shower at the right price and was begining to give up when i came across the plumbworld website. The shower arrived in just a couple of days and we fitted it on the weekend. One of the components was cracked however and I contacted plumbworld who asked me to email a photo of the broken component in order for them to order it from their supplier - I sent that photo on the monday afternoon and when I came home on the wednesday it had arrived! Amazing! I told the lads in the pub about it (many of them tradesmen) and the general consensus was that if a customer does have a problem its an opportunity for you to prove yourself - Plumbworld did just that and I recommend them 100%

Excellent Value for Money
My previous power shower broke and i was a bit short of money. I went online found plumbworld and saw this shower. It fitted my bill perfectly and within 24 hours plumbworld emailed me to let me know they had my order and what time it was going to be delivered. The item arrived exactly on the day it was supposed to (4 days after i placed my order) and the instructions were easy to understand for my plumber to install it. The shower is very quiet running which is excellent as I don't wake up my others when i'm having a shower very early in the morning. It doesn't look like the most beautiful shower ever but it certainly does the job very well and is excellent value for money. Highly recommend Mira as a brand.

Excelent shower
This shower replaced an old Mira Event which had proved a good buy, the new Event shower is considerably more expensive than the Vigour though the Vigour does the same job as my old Event. The Vigour has the same layout as the old Event so installation was easy. The shower is very quiet and provides excelent flow of water, can't fault it, though may have bought the thermostaticaly controled version if wife hadnt just been made redundant.
Middle fastening hole is behind the water inlet pipe which is a bit awkward.
Main problem is that the shower head/rail can't be used in a corner shower, I had to use the old rail and holder which doesnt fit the new head very well.

Highly recommend this superb shower. It is easy to use and really quiet too so the whole family don't realise you are taking a shower. It has one large dial with two features making it simple to use. The flow dial lies flat to the case of the shower with the temperature dial just in front making it easy to use with one hand. It is pure luxury and a must for a large family like ours where it is used daily for everybody. An easy to use adjusting pole for the shower head so all sizes of family can adjust simply. Very well priced so well affordable and economical to run so our whole family can shower without running out of hot water-essential when theres lots of you.

Having visited a number of supplier sites for this product I decided on the Mira power shower from Plumbworld.
I have not been disappointed.
The item was delivered when promised, was well priced and good value.
At the end of the day, a shower is a shower,but service also counts.
Delivery dates were specified and met and the contact and service received from Plumbworld exceeded expectations. Something that is lacking in numerous other suppliers.

I ordered this unit on the basis that it was a direct replacement for my old Mira Event shower which had finally packed up (around 20 years old). It arrived next day (thanks Plumbworld !) and I was able to fit it straighaway. The water inlets (H + C) are indeed in a similar position, making fitting easy - it was more trouble removing the old unit, which after 20 years did not want to disconnect...! The new shower is quieter, more powerful and more efficient - very happy with it.

Fab shower
We bought this to replace an old power shower which had burnt out. It was the cheapest reasonable replacement and I am so delighted with it. The water pressure is very low as we have spring water in our village, but this shower is really strong. We also have a Mira event xs in another bathroom and I much prefer this one as it is quieter and much more powerful.

Truly the cheapest you will find!
I really do shop around on the internet when I want something. This really was the cheapest I could find it and it was by quite a big margin (about £20) which is a fair amount. The item was ordered on Sunday and it arrived on my doorstep on Tuesday on the standard delivery. It was well packaged. The shower itself was to replace an existing Mira shower which had come to the end of its useful life. The handy thing about Mira showers are that the pipe connections to the new unit were exactly in the same location as the old one (even though it was a newer model) - this made replacing the entire shower pain free and quick!! The shower itself is well built, sturdy and gives a pretty impressive burst of water - I only need to have the power setting halfway. The temperature setting can be quite sensitive but once you have found the right temp there's no need to touch it.

2nd time around
This is the 2nd maybe 3rd one of these showers we have purchased each one lasted about 4 years which not bad for family of 5. The only thing this time was the shower head it had no power to it and no adjustment. When we put our previous one on it was twice as powerful, so would think some people buting this would maybe not be happy with power when it is really the head.

It was a replacement for an obsolete shower and I chose it because of the versatility of the pipework positions in the unit. The pipework covers for the pipe cut-outs in the main cover were a little bit fiddly.
Like the shower as it has variable flow control and temp control.
The unit was a little bit noisier than the previous shower we had but perfectly acceptable.

In my view this model is very good value above the Event XS, basic in controls. Excellent flow and power. The hope being is that we have at least 4-5 years use from this one, albeit given the replacement cost this Mira Power Shower is excellent value for money

I bought this shower as a replacement for a 10+ year old Mira Event. Plumbed in as a straight replacement so no extra plumbing or wiring.
My only criticism is that the blanking covers are flimsy and don't click into place very well.
will be ordering another to replacement for our second shower.

Great unit easy to fit
This shower unit was purchased to replace an olver version.
Plumbing and wiring were in the same place so dead easy to fit.
Work well too with goo flow and temperature control.
The only negative is that it is a bit noisy and transmits noise into the wall which travels around the house.

After having had the same power shower for over 3 years. It finally gave up the ghost. I purchased a Mira power shower, and wow the difference. So quite, not so powerful but i think it will save some money. I think i will stick with Mira i am well chuffed with the product

Great Replacement

Not a great start

Plumbing for Idiots
Eek! My Mira Event power shower suddenly went Kaput (not what a single lady needs), and the plumber blithely said on the phone, Oh,just buy another and Ill be round in a week to fit it. So first I went into a local plumbers merchants - where I felt distinctly out of place and they quoted me an astronomical price. Next, onto the internet I went, still barely even knowing how to spell the word MIRA. But I need not have worried! The Plumbworld website was just what was needed. I found the Vigour, a much cheaper but virtually identical model for almost a third of the price quoted locally for the Event, and thanks to all the info in the website was able to order it easily and confidently! The product literally arrived the next day, in solid packaging, and Bingo, the plumber fitted it in the time it took to drink a cup of tea, and without having to move anything or leave holes in the tiling, and normal service was resumed. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the shower. And also I commend the excellent service from Plumbworld - what stands out is that you dont need to be a hardened DIY-handyman to find what you need, and you get good service regardless of who you are or what youre buying, which is great. Pats on the back all round.

Great Replacement
Having had a Mira Event (model T) for some time, when that finally died I had concerns about replacing it - mainly as the pipework comes down through the bathroom ceiling. Checking with other suppliers didn't help me any, but a quick check on the Web produced this supplier.
Not only was I able to check out the manual on line (and see the very minor fitting differences) but I was also able to confirm that this replacement shower unit could take pipework coming down from above.
As to the unit itself? Apart from the more attractive, cosmetic changes to the case, and the need to re-drill two of the mounting points to match up with the new motor support chassis, it was a simple and easy replacement.
On the up-side. The unit is more quiet and less bulky in some respects.
On the down side. The new shower head has a wider fitting, and different holder bar. Easily solved by keeping the old head (etc)
All in all, a perfect replacement at a killer price

A Shower worth having to massage an aching body
Having had to replace an aging Mira shower, as this old shower gave us excellent service lasting 20 years,
The Mira shower website was searched to find an excellent replacement, it did not take long to find a replacement model which ticked all the boxes for both my wife & myself due to both our mobility health issues a shower is an important kit to have in our bathroom,
Having had our new Mira shower assy fitted & been using it nearly every morning now for three weeks, the various spray patterns from the shower head we find brings much relief to our aching bodies, this Vigour power shower is off excellent quality & comes highly recommended again ticking all the boxes, this shower assy I found to be easily fitted by a competent DIY householder as it comes with a great set off fitting instructions again easily read, I myself was able to fit this shower unit in under 2 hrs, looking forward to having a lovely massaging shower for many years to come.

Exceptional Value for Money
Thoroughly chuffed with this power shower. I thought our old Triton was good, but this thing is a bad boy. The head provides a really big spread of water at a hefty flow rate, so not one for hippies, but makes for a fantastic shower! Temperature controls are very good and easy to adjust beyond factory settings. Fairly quiet operation too. I'd say it looks better in situ than in photos as well (why do power showers all look so boring?)Good instructions and a pretty easy DIY install. Personally I thought the soapdish looked a bit cheap and vulnerable so I left it off. Most importantly, overall, its just amazing value for money at this price. Even other certain large DIY providers online are charging double this price!
It should be noted for DIY plumbers...the cold supply is on the right, and you need vertical input piping, so it might mean some replumbing if you're replacing an existing shower. I wouldnt even hesitate in getting another.

After placing my order online, i literally blinked and my new shower was here, well done Plumbworld, excellent speedy service ! Taking it out the box revealed a lovely new shiney unit which is replacing my moisy tired shower force after 9 years of service. Couldnt wait to get it fitted so off to the van and out came the tools.
Fitting was a breeze, electrical and plumbing connections all easily accesable, a slight plumbing change so the new unit covered the holes left in the tiles from the old unit and hey presto......I was listening to a lovely quite shower at last !
Off with the clothes and in I was, great performance, good settings on the shower head and easy to use controls with a max heat safety feature for my young lad.
Overall a great unit and a really good price from Plumbworld, no one else came close price wise !!!

Excellent shower
First of all Plumbworld: I ordered the shower on the Internet on Sunday afternoon, and it was delivered on Monday morning! I couldnt believe it.
Next the shower: I have another Mira thermostatic shower, a standard mains pressure 9.5kw, which is excellent. This was a low pressure H-C power shower in another bathroom. I had to reverse the hot and cold feed relative to the old shower (another brand), but that was quite easy. Apart from that fitting and commissioning completely straightfoward and simple. Works excellently, maintains rock steady temperature in safe range, very quiet compared with old kit - nice to see the thought Mira put into this with rubber wall mountings to insulate vibration etc.
All in all, plumworlds price was very competitive, delivery like lightening, follow up excellent, and the shower a brilliant piece of kit. All highly recommended.

Always stop at plumbworld first
I can't believe what a difference a little research makes. Visited the 2 most well-known DIY retailers, desperately looking for a power shower when the plumbers were half way through upgrading the bathroom and discovered I needed one NOW! The very same item was £120 more expensive at both retailers, even though one of the stores was claiming it was 'ON SALE'.
I had no idea about plumbworld but found it on a google search. Clicked to buy as soon as I discovered the product I was looking for was available for delivery and so much cheaper (even when delivery costs were calculated). And it even arrived on a saturday.
I will always look here first from now on. The chance to save such a large amount on basic plumbing supplies is an offer too good to ignore. Very pleased.

Mira Vigour Power Shower
Motor went in our existing Mira shower after 10+ years. I looked at getting a new motor but it was £70 + postage. I was trying to find a similar shower to our existing one so we didn't need to get any of the pipework moved when came across this shower from Plumbworld. Price was excellent & delivered very quickly. Fitting very straightforward & did slot into our existing pipework. Only problem was we needed the shower on full heat to make it usable, so had to get the factory setting amended by the plumber. Not certain if this was unique to this model or Mira, but it is fine now.
Nice shower which is relatively quiet & produces a good spray from the shower head - I woudn't hesitate in recommending this shower & the price / service received from Plumbworld.

Great product!
I was a little nervous going for a like-for-like replacement shower unit. My old Mira shower had been very noisy and quite temperamental before finally failing completely after 7 years of use. It was easy to find Mira Vigour showers but not all of them were the thermostatic version. Plumworld stocked both and were also the most competitive on price. I was happy to place an order with them.
The shower unit arrived promptly and was easy to fit for a fairly average DIYer like myself. What really pleased me is that the new unit is almost silent in use. A real plus and still makes me smile when I go for a shower. I wish I'd replaced the old one sooner. I hope this one gives me many years of good, reliable service but only time will tell. So far, very happy indeed.

Best Power shower for the price
I had used an old Mira event power shower for 9 years and was very stisfied with it so when the pump on it died I decide a Mira shower was what I wanted.I searched the web as well as plumber supplies locally and could not find this shower at a better price anywhere. I e-mailed plumbworld to check that it would fit on the same pipe centres as my old shower and they confirmed it would. This shower was deliveerd within 3 days and fit straight onto the old pipes (as promised). Once fitted and wired up the shower was suprisingly powerfull and the device was unbelievably quiet. The whole family were suprised at the power and the quality of spray pattern.
I thoroughly recommend both the shower and plumbworld as first rate.

Early days,but a fine powerful and easy to operate shower.
Temperature range from cold right through to a controlled hot is smooth with no noticable reduction in flow rate.
My only suggestion to Mira is that the little tool used to seperate the manifold from the inlet pipes is made of something more sturdier thn plastic-perhaps steel,as removing a defective shower can prove to be stressful with such a flimsy tool

Brilliant shower
We have had the Mira Event XS for many years when it finally stopped working. Originally we were going to get a direct replacement but on looking around found the Mira Vigour which was considerably cheaper. We are extremely pleased with the Vigour it is as good as the Event and in our opinion looks better as it only has one control. It is efficient as the Event for less money and according to my husband who hates plumbing easy to install !!

Mira Vigour Thermostatic Shower
I have the Vigour power shower installed above the bath next to an electric shower. The electric one is adequate in the summer, when I do not have a tankful of hot water for the power shower and the mains water is not too cold to be heated quickly enough for a good flow. The Mira power shower is ideal for the winter, when the house heating provides ready hot water, and the pump gives a generous flow (especially for washing the dogs quickly).

My old triton gave up the ghost.. firstly needed to find a suitable replacement and called plumbworld.. what refreshing change friendly, helpful and cheerful staff to assist with options.. had a few choices and went for the Mira thermostatic power shower.. first use today after it was fitted yesterday.. wonderful.. both powerful, quiet and easy to use what a difference a decent shower makes!.. and at the best price right here..

Fantastic product and service!
Originally ordered a triton shower but pluming on wrong side and one of the brackets was broken. I contacted Plumbworld who said send it back for full refund - the refund was done as soon as they received the shower back - no fuss what so ever. So I decided to order the Mira Vigour - fits perfectly and so much cheaper than anywhere else - thought there must be a catch but no, everything is working well - really pleased!!

The New Mira Vigour
Excellent quality, gives a good shower.I don't have the family complaining they are having to chase the water around to find it !! Easy to set up to desired heat and use just have to remember to turn the inner ring anti clockwise to turn off not the outer one -that gives you a COLD shower shock burrrrrrrrr

We have had 2 mira showers in the past and this model was much cheaper and seems much better so far. The control is really simple, with just an inner and outer ring to control flow and temperature. there are, i think, 7 different settings for the shower head, but most seem the same. Even with the flow control relatively low to save on water and power, you can still get a very efficient shower.

Didn't know what I was missing
The Mira Thermostatic Vigour shower makes such a difference. Before I had a single control shower which meant each time you turned it off you had cold water both shutting down and turning on. With the Vigour once it is at the temperature set it is easy to turn on and off without that cold shock, also with the power, the spray patterns are just right. An excellent product, easy to install.

A good buy
Purchased this shower to replace old mixer shower which was installed by the builder when house bought new 14 years ago.That was a Mira also.
Wife recently complained old shower ran cold when any toilet in the house was flushed! No longer a problem with the new unit which is not only powerful but has a thermostat incorporated to ensure constant flow of hot water.

MIRA POWER SHOWER VIGOUR
After searching the web for a power shower which was value for money selected the mira vigour from world plumbworld. Checked several dealers but with clear details of vat and delivery costs this came as one of the cheapest for a good power shower. Other suppliers showed price minus vat and delivery cost giving a false initial impression.

Great replacement shower
Purchased this shower to replace a Mira Go Power Shower that I inherited in my house when I moved in which recently broke. The Vigour was a direct replacement so no pipework changes required.
It is quieter than the previoius Mira Go, just as powerful and runs better. It looks smart with clean lines. Very happy with my purchase.

An excellent shower
Fitted as a replacement for a previous Mira shower of similar design. It give an excellent flow of water even at low power and good variation from the adjustable shower head.
The only criticism so far is that when you adjust the temperature it runs cold initially but within seconds adjusts.

Unlike the shower which this replaced, the motor is ABOVE the wet section. The previous product had a mixer leak which rusted out the motor below. Good design, Mira.

In my opinion this is the best value thermostatic shower on the market. Mira also sell one called the mira event XS which is overrated and overpriced compared to this one. Theres not much difference in them but about £200 price difference My advice do your researxh and you will see this is great value for money

Power shower with good pressure
Have used this model for the last two changes. Simple to use and would always go for the Thermostat version for safety.
I find they last 2-3 years but we use it daily 5 times as a family and 365 days per year so I think it is a robust system.
Price is good when you buy during the regular sale events.

Brilliant shower

Good all-rounder
Bought this shower as a replacement for a customer's Wickes Aquatronic own label thermostatic power shower.
A couple of on-line forums suggested the Wickes shower was an own-branded version of the previous Mira Vigour model and that they all shared the same hot and cold water inlet positions, so a swap wouldn't require any pipework modifications, which would help to keep down costs for the customer.
I phoned Mira to check on this, but it turned out that Wickes also used another supplier for the shower but kept the same model name.
Sod's Law decreed that my customer's shower was the 'other' type, so when the Mira Vigour arrived I still had to modify the pipework.
However, that still turned out to be worthwhile.
Reasonable power and good thermostatic control give this shower and excellent water flow across the temperature range.
The height adjustment button on the riser rail is hard to grip for those with mobility limitations and there is limited forward rotational movement of the shower head when it sits in the riser bracket.
The case is a little bit 'plasticky', with a slightly less than solid feel to the backplate and cover.
Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - reasonable price, decent performance, straightforward fitting, but beware if you think it's a swap-out for the old Wickes Aquatronic - check the exact model you have before buying if you're purchasing because you think there's no pipework to revise.

And then we fixed the plumbing!
The old Mira shower had been there for almost 40 years - can this be true? We moved in in 1978 and it seems to have been installed when the house was built in 1971. The old pink tiles and suite looked tired, so a complete bathroom refit was arranged.
We hadn't realised how bad the shower was - but perhaps the fact that we always took a bath tells something!
When installed the new power shower was noisy. The installer blamed the shower. WRONG!
Our hot water system was all furred up, so the hot water flow was too weak and air was being drawn into the system. In consequence the shower pump was running away. (This fault, we now know, was also what was causing it to take a long time to run a hot bath!)
We got in a plumber, and for only £66 he's replaced the ballcock and cleaned the system. Now we can get hot baths quickly - and we can also get a really good hot shower, with temperature maintained.
Who knows, we may even become converted to shower people at this rate!! This is a really good shower, at a very reasonable price. Looks good, too.

Fantastic Value for Money
For a Power Shower, this product was fantastic value for money from Plumbworld. You get an envigourating shower and have a choice of head settings to suit the whole family. If you want to save on your water bill the flow output can be reduced. A small niggle would be that the shower head pole does not come far enough away from the wall to allow you to turn the shower head to the side - which can be a problem when you have a corner shower like we do and want to warm up the water before you step in - as the spray head is facing the opening. Consider this if you are replacing an existing shower as we were. Also the motor is quite noisy so not ideal if the shower is close to a child's room. Apart from that I would recommend this completely, and the service provided by Plumbworld was second to none.

Does what it says!!
I previously had the version up from this one, but couldn't afford it this time, so i went for this one instead. It is no where near as powerful as the 'next one up' but after having a few showers in it, I'm starting to wonder if i really needed such a powerful shower before! This one works perfectly fine. I've never fitted a power shower before, so was a little nervous about doing so. However, on reflection, it was relatively straightforwards. Just remember to turn everything off and follow the instructions! PS I was replacing an existing power shower so it was easier than starting from scratch!

The power shower in operation and looks is very good, the ease of power and temperature control is excellent, the only problem is the design of the slider bar attachment to the wall is bad as it is not deep enough and does not allow the shower head to spray directly down that is because the shower hose is hard againstt the shower wall and the more you try to rotate the shower head downwards it then pushes the shower head and handle out of the socket.. it is rubbish and should be redesigned, I wrote to Mira but got no reply and finished up having to use the old slider bar and attachments.

Problem solved first time!
My daughter's existing Mira power shower (very old) failed and repair was uneconomic. The new Vigour model was an almost exact and very capable replacement that is now doing excellent service. Be warned, however, that whilst the manufacturers claim that no adjustment is required to existing feed pipes this isn't quite true as the new unit sits closer to the wall than the old one. A simple job turned into a fiddly one to get around this but nothing that can't be sorted with a bit of patience!

Quality as expected
The Mira Vigour is the perfect power shower if you don't have gas and need to use the low pressure gravity fed hot and cold tanks. This shower is typically built tho the highest standard and Mira quality. This is the 3rd Mira shower I've purchased and I have tried other brands but always returned.I recommend the thermostatic version, slightly more expensive, but worth it especially if you have kids. Plumbworld's price was the best value and delivery and aftersales excellent.

A few problems
goods delivered in good time, however found to have a damaged cover on unpacking. Plumbworld not very helpful in dealing with this only to give an incorrect number for Mira.
Mira customer sevice very good sent a new cover by return.
On installation another problem with shower (it would not switch off), did not bother calling Plumbworld called Mira direct and they arranged for an engineer to visit site to repair the fault.
Mira customer service is second to none.

Power shower
The product is quite up to usual mira shower quality. It delivers hot water at the required temperature and flow. One quibble, the shower position adjustment mechanism (to alter the height of the shower head) is very difficult for anyone with difficulty in pressing with their thumbs (e.g. arthritis sufferers). The older mechanism where a squeezing action was required was so much easier.

Installation was fairly straight forward. The unit was much smaller than I expected although ugh not the most attractive shower in the world it certainly did the job. The pressure is excellent and the different head setting work well. My inlaws have the same shower and we are both very happy with the purchase. I would recommend this if your current shower is a bit of a dribble - like ours was.

Used this to replace Mira Event unit that was 10 years old.
Installation was easy due to the fittings being in the same place, but had to re-drill fixing positions, as the backplate is oval on the Vigour unit.
Temperature positions seem to be lower as on Mire Event 7-8 was fine, the Vigour unit requires to be at 9 / max tio achieve the same temperature.

A great power shower with minor issues. The pump is quite noisy and there is little different between half and full power. The plumber stated that who has a 9.5 mm drill bit required to mount on the wall. The shower head gives a subtle variation of spray patterns. This shower was a replacement for a New Team shower, and on balance would buy another Mira.

Great Power Shower
having looked at mains water fed power showers, which require a cold mains supply and up to 40amp heavy cable electrical supply I decided it was no go. When I discovered this alternative which simply plumbs into the H&C pipework of the bath and has a low amperage electrical supply it was ideal. No major fitting work and Mira quality!

Excellent power shower from plumbworld
Had a Mira power shower for over 16 years.
Contacted Mira to advise which shower I should buy to replace ,that would fit existing plumbing.They advised me of model .I then placed an order with Plumbworld ,they were the most competive priced.Easy ordering and arrived on time specified .Would recommend plumbworld without hesitation.

Excellent service Good price
The product was exactly as expected, the price however was far better than the DIY chains (aproximately 30% cheaper)
Fitting instructions were very clear, this was a retro fit for a Gainsborough shower. All I needed to do was make a slight alteration to the inlet feeds by a few mms

great shower
Bought to replace old broken shower.
Was very affordable and was worried it may reflect
in the quality. But not at all it is a very good shower.
Clean simple design easy and pleasurable to use and was easy to fit.
Only moan is it is a bit noisy.But no worse than the old one.

Nice shower
To be honest, I haven't had the new Mira Vigour installed yet. But it's identical to the old one which has been going for 11 years or so and we've been very happy with it. Temperature is well controlled and water flow if anything is stronger than I'd like rather than less.

Mira Vigour power shower
compact power shower, Easy to fit & does the job.
The negative points are the rail is a little short & the blanks to fit in the top & bottoms are a little fiddly & not very well thought out i personally put silicone around them.
All in all a nice shower unit.

Mira Power Shower - solid shower
We have low water pressure (fed by cold water cistern in loft) and so needed a power shower. This Mira Vigour has worked very reliably so far, good pressure from the pump and simple to operate. Had it fitted by a plumber, who had no problems with it.

Great value for money
This shower replaced a Mira Event XS which was priced at twice the cost of the product I purchased.
The Mira Vigour does everything the more expensive unit does and is a direct replacement physically.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

No nonsense buy
Solid engineering and straightforward to fit. Wall fixing particularly good with compressible rubber plugs fitting into the wall to reduce vibration noise. Much quieter operation than my previous power shower (thank goodness!)

Value for money
My third Mira in the last 20 years. Vigour is great for enclosures like mine, 1000X800 mm. Disappointed that it did not work on installation by a qualified plumber, had to wait a few days for a Mira engineer to repair it.

Improved on the previous model. Quieter and powerful.
This was purchased to replace an older model of Mira Power Shower. I was pleased with the performance of the old one which lasted for about 15 years! The new model is even better, quieter and even more powerful and smooth.

Mira Vigour Thermostatic Power Shower
Easy to fit over previous Mira shower pipes and wires. I little noisey but that may settle down as it wears in. Powerful and easy to control the temperature. New shower head will go all the way from shower to monsoon.

Great little product
Powered showers appear to be very difficult to find these days, plenty of electric but we have plent y of hot water!
This is a good product from a reputable manufacturer, and the Plumbworld price was the best be far.

Mira Vigour replacement shower
Excellent! My old Mira packed up after 20 years and this was virtually a drop in replacement. A few new holes in the tiles and the jobs a goodun. Excellent shower, good thermostatic control.

Mira shower
Replaced an old Event shower with this Vigour. It is less powerful than the old one and the pump is noisier, but for the price it appears to be a good substitute.

Shower works very well - my only niggle is that to turn off from full power is a 180 degree turn of the rotary knob - diffilcult to accomplish in one movement.

This shower could be used as a replacement in many cases, but whether it will suit your specific situation (replacing your Aqualisa or Bristan unit) depends on a few key compatibility and installation factors.
To know whether the replacement will work, you’ll need to compare your existing system setup. Here are the things to check:
Water system type
If your current Aqualisa / Bristan units are part of a mains pressure / unvented / high-pressure system, then Mira’s power shower may not be compatible, because it’s designed for low-pressure gravity-fed systems.
Pipe size, spacing and position
The Mira requires 15 mm feeds, dual entry. If your current piping is larger, or the spacing between hot and cold is different, you may need adaptors or rework plumbing.
I would advise speaking with a Plumber to see if this would be a compatible replacement, or you can call our sales team who can give you more advice on what to do
