The Stuart Turner mounting pad gives added sound insulation which in turn reduces the transfer of noise from the motor and vibration from the pump itself.
Constructed using dual density layers to provide increased vibration and noise reduction.

Worth what feels like an exorbitant cost!
This mat is purpose made to absorb shower pump vibration noise and has proved to be so worthwhile. We had the previous pump mounted directly on wood and the noise of vibration could be heard throughout the house. We'd become used to it! When we bought the new pump I decided to go for this mat as well and we can barely hear the pump at all now. It's like there is no pump when we turn on the shower! Very impressed with this product. Grit your teeth and buy it - cost over a lifetime works out just fine.

A worthwhile consideration.
The old pump beat out a fair tattoo on the floor of the airing cupboard, and I noticed this item advertised alongside the replacement pump. It works well enough to dampen down the vibrations, and had the added bonus of bringing the new pump up to the level of the old one, so negating the need for a new plinth.

As described, fitted when installing a new pump, little vibration on the floorboards, saves having to retro fitt at a later date.
Peace and quiet
This makes all the difference. Last pump was resting on the floor and drummed like mad. This takes all the vibration out of it.
Really does absorb vibration
Ok £30 is a lot for a small square of dense foam matting. However, I do recommend you try it as it worked well for me.

I renewed my old Stuart Turner Showermate pump and whilst placing the order, saw that I could get a small discount if ordering the anti vibration pad at the same time. As my old pump made a lot of noise throughout the house, I figured that I might as well also purchase this while I was at it. I cannot say definitively how much difference the pad makes as it may all be related to the new pump, but I can say that the new pump, sitting on this pad, makes negligible noise - 10 times quieter than previously with old pump and no pad.
Water Pump anti vibration mounting pad
I have had a water pump in my house for many years, but it was sited in my loft on the joists, so of course the noise when turning on taps, or flushing toilets was loud. I have now had the pump moved and the anti vibration mounting pad fitted, and what a difference it makes. It is much quieter and simple to install just push under the pump and voila.
Mat for new pump
Thought this was a bit expensive for what it is but it certainly seems to work. The old pump without a mat was very noisy. The new pump with this mat is super quiet.
