How do I work out the right size and heat output for my room?

Look at the BTU and watt figures shown for each model, the range here runs roughly from about 1,081 up to 4,296 BTU (Delta 50), so you can match output to room size. As a rule, a taller, wider radiator (1800 x 590 mm) will deliver far more heat than a narrow vertical (1800 x 370 mm), so pick larger dimensions for a family bathroom and a slim vertical for a small en‑suite. If you want a quick guide, note that some small outputs included in our range include single‑panel, narrow widths (300–499 mm), whereas larger widths (500–699 mm and beyond) give higher BTU figures. Always check the exact BTU/Watt on the product page against your room heat loss calculation before buying.

Should I buy an electric (oil-filled) Terma radiator or a hot-water one?

There are both options in the range, about 46 hot-water models and seven electric oil-filled, some of which are smart (Rolo Room E). Electric oil-filled radiators are ideal if you don't have central heating in the room or want an easy retrofit, and they keep heat for a while after switching off. Hot-water radiators integrate with your central heating and generally offer the broadest range of higher outputs for whole-house heating. If you're fitting into an existing wet system, pick hot-water; if you need independent heating or smart scheduling without pipework, an electric Rolo Room E is a strong choice.

Vertical or horizontal, which orientation and panel profile suits my room?

Vertical radiators are very common here and suit narrow walls or corridors, while horizontal models work well beneath a window. Most stock is single-panel with round profiles (42) which give a slimmer projection and a neat contemporary look; double or triple panels are much rarer and project further from the wall. For a tight, modern bathroom where you also want space for towels, a tall single-panel vertical 1800 x 370 mm keeps the footprint small but gives good height for towel hanging.

Which finish or style will work best with my bathroom or kitchen design?

The range includes brass, bright or matt copper, black, grey, mocha, mustard and white, plus mirror-fronted variants, so you can either make a focal point or blend in. Metallic finishes like bright copper or brass create a statement and suit traditional or industrial schemes, whereas matt black and grey read as modern and architectural. Mirror models (Rolo with mirror, 1800 x 590 mm) are handy in small bathrooms because they combine a radiator and a mirror, saving wall space while adding light.

Will these radiators match my existing pipework and standards?

Most hot-water models use a G1/2 inlet and common wall-to-centre tapping options shown include 44 mm, 47–55 mm and 75–80 mm, so check your current pipe centres before ordering. Many items are BS EN 442 certified and most carry an 8-year guarantee, which gives you reassurance on quality and conformity. If you're buying an electric model the inlet will be N/A, but the product spec will state the exact connections and tapping centres you need to match.
