Triton Silent Running Thermostatic Power Shower with Pump - White AS2000SR

I refitted my bathroom in the noughties, don't remember when exactly but it would have been 2004/2005. I opted for the predecessor of the predecessor of the AS200SR and it gave us many years of good service. In 2019 it finally started to underperform so we opted to replace it with the AS2000XT, which was troublesome from the start. I noticed the difference in noise levels and how difficult it was to maintain a constant temperature. Although still under warranty, we had this thing called Covid, so point-to-point servicing was always going to be difficult and as such, I ignored the problem until this year when it was clear that, somehow, Triton had produced a model which was not fit for purpose. I have thought about contacting Triton regarding this issue but at circa £200, it is an affordable model, even as a replacement. I decide to replace it with the AS2000SR because it was a retrofit model and wouldn't involve a lot of destructive plumbing work and I have to say that the results have been mind-blowing. This model, as Triton claim, is silent running. You can also have a shower from one day to the next without altering the temperature settings. If I have any cons it would be to say that the drilling holes are not the same, it's not a complete retrofit and the unit is slightly larger overall than its predecessor so unless you have sufficient clearance from any adjacent walls it may cause a problem but other than that, as a professional kitchen and bathroom installer this is the best thermostatic shower I have ever instaled, and I get to prove it's worth every day!

Just like one of the previous reviews, I purchased this power shower to replace an existing Triton AS2000XT that was starting to show it's age by making more noise that a sherman tank that even wild dogs would run away from, and the temperature control being more erratic than a moth around a light bulb. So after reading many reviews I opted for the AS2000SR to replace it as we live in a bungalow with very low pressure on our hot system and it seemed to be the wise thing to do. I'm not disappointed in the slightest, it was a doddle to fit as the water intake pipes and mains connections matched the old shower, the only thing I had to do was drill 4 new holes in the tiled wall. I agree that it doesn't seem as powerful as the old XT version but that may be an illusion as it's near silent. I have changed the spray head to one that has the little ceramic balls in and that's improved the feel of pressure so much so that it doesn't need to be on full power all the time. To sum up, if you're in need of a replacement power shower at a very reasonable price I don't think you can go wrong with this unit and the speed of service from Plumbworld is excellent.

This was purchased to replace my broken Triton AS2000XT. As promoted, the plumbing and electrical connections are located in the same place, so swapping over between models was straight forward. The footprint is slightly bigger on the SR model, and new mounting holes needed to be drilled, but a capable DIY'er will have no issues. The best thing with the SR model is how it is so much quieter than the old XT. You can barely hear it running. Water pressure output is on par with the old XT. If I have one criticism of the SR model, it is the design of the control knobs. Triton have gone for a more minimalist design. so the knobs are flat with smooth edges. With wet hands, changing the flow or temperature can be a challenge as you cannot always get a good grip on them. Plumbworld were very competitive on price and the shower was delivered within days of order. Yet another satisfied purchase from them.

I had an earlier version of this shower which developed a fault and kept tripping the electric. It lasted about 5 years of twice or more daily use. This one is a little larger in size, but I like the changes they've made to the design, especially with regards to fitting. It's now much easier to get the pipework slotted in as the back of the shower (the bit that faces the wall) essentially has the top right quarter cut away. It's in its operation that it impresses me most. This shower is so quiet! It also has a dial on the front to adjust the speed of the pump, which also serves to reduce its volume. That said, it is so quiet that you barely hear it outside of the bathroom. We have a relatively new build, so hollow partition walls everywhere. The old one reverberated around the entire house. This one you can barely hear in the room next-door.

Needed a replacement power shower as our previous Galaxy power shower eventually failed. The Triton seemed the best replacement type for size and to meet our existing gravity fed H & C supply. The existing pipework meant the internal connections had to be swivelled through 180 and the orginal pipework can just be seen outside of the outer casing of the new Triton shower but is hardly noticeable. The new Triton is extremely quiet compared to the old shower, which leading up to it's failure got very noisy. Good delivery of water and pressure from the Triton. The safety temperature dial at the click position is a bit too cool for my preference but is easily set by pressing the safety button and turning the selector dial nearer to the hot setting. Maybe the fixed setting is low? - possibly between 30 - 35. I'm happy to recommend this shower though.

Purchased this to replace the older version (AS2000X), which had always sounded pretty loud, but after 4 years of use was struggling with maintaining a constant temperature, and sounded like Concorde! Easy swap, probably took me a half-hour (though I did use to install showers long ago) - main point is that it's a direct replacement, you will need to drill new mounting holes, but pipe and cable entries the same. The new unit is far, far quieter than the old one, and is a vast improvement. Maybe not quite as powerful, but unless you like to be bruised when you get out of the shower, not a biggy (in my view). I would say the newer version is not as nice to look at as the old one, but that's far outweighed by it being so quite. You're less likely to wake everyone in your house (and maybe neighbourhood) when you use it :-)

This was a replacement for our trusty 20 year old one that was very noisy indeed, but worked very well. The changeover was very easy as the electrics and plumbing connectors were very similar. It's mounted to a stud wall at the end of the bath which backs into the airing cupboard. So everything is concealed in the cupboard and easy to get at. All controlled by a high amp ceiling mounted isolation pull switch. I assume the actual button on the unit is a low voltage relay anyway, so no worries about wet hands. Almost silent when running, just enough noise to let you know its on, in fact the sound of the water pouring into the bath is probably louder. It has enough power to fully work with my 300mm square shower head, no problem at all. Incredibly pleased with this unit.

Bought this to replace an old 200 series Triton and was expecting it to be tricky. But this is so well designed and took no time at all to install. The spacing of the inlet pipes is identical, the electrical connection in the same location, mounting screw holes away from any buried pipes and well away from the previous mounting holes, plus the old mounting holes are covered by the case. Looks well made (far better than the older model) and is very quiet even when running at full speed. It's slightly less powerful but there really is not much in it. Fast delivery from PlumbWorld and a great price. I've never been so positive about a plumbing job!

This was a replacement for our old Triton Power shower that was installed 23 years ago, so credit due to Triton and let's hope that this one lasts as long! The old shower was a pig to remove, it did not want to leave the copper pipework, however the new one was fitted with relative ease. The installation instructions were easy enough to follow as was the commissioning process. This is sooooo quiet in comparison to the old one, a pleasure to stand under, with plenty of power if required, three shower head settings and excellent heat adjustments from cold to very hot. I am really impressed with no issues thus far!

Having replaced the previous incarnation of this range (which was EXCEPTIONALLY NOISY), this unit is a joy! I made the mistake of getting a plumber to install, when I could have done it myself, and made sure it was correctly tightened (which the plumber failed to do!). It doesn't seem to be as powerful as the previous one, but that is probably all in the mind, since it is so quiet! It makes early morning showers more relaxing, rather than the rude awakening of the previous model! The price via Plumbworld was also £40 cheaper than the cheapest alternative supplier...so will definitely be coming back here!

This shower was purchased to replace a mixer bar and an old Triton t40i booster pump (sadly now obsolete). We managed to remove the mixer bar and attach flexible tap connectors to the new shower so minimising changes to the plumbing. We have a private water supply and this shower has given us sufficient flow to get a decent shower even on the medium flow setting. We are finding that the temperature tends to be quite warm, even on the lowest temp setting, maybe because our hot water cylinder is heated by a Rayburn not an immersion heater with thermostat. Overall the whole family is impressed!

I’ve been using previous model for many years and the temp control started playing up. Decided to still using Triton brand which is now this model AS2000SR. To replace it took me about 90mins. I was following Triton’s instructions and video. It was quite simple and straight forward. Due to be a bit different shape new holes had to be drilled - I recommend to use Bosch Expert drill to make new holes in tiles. New power shower is silent and to compare to old version is a massive difference. I really recommend this shower unit… my tenant is very happy

This is the third or fourth power shower we've had in our en suite over the past twenty plus years. This one is heaven; with a strong quiet flow and reliable temperature. The on/off button eliminates any need for re-tweaking settings. Having installed this one myself I'm now familiar with the commissioning process so in future, when the water supply has had to be drained for any reason, I'll now prime the pump properly to avoid cavitation. I'm hoping this will increase its life and I'll not need to replace it any time soon.

I like the internal design where it uses an isolation transformer to power the sealed brushless motor and control board. It should be very safe electrically! Some say, the flow rate isn't as good but when I measured it on full power againstt my old Triton it came out to be the same at 9 l/m however at the mid position it was only 4.5 l/m compared to 6 l/m for the old one. That was using the hose and shower head in the mid position. Still it's good to save water and energy and my wife can't tell the difference...

I purchased this shower to replace an older and worn out (Triton) model. My reason for choosing it was its easy DIY installation. After isolating the power, hot and the cold-water supplies. I removed the old shower. Unfortunately, I had to drill and plug new mounting holes for the new model. But the push fit plumbing and just the three wires to be inserted into the power block, made the installation easy. It took me less than an hour. I highly recommend it as a very quiet replacement for an old Triton.

After retiring my old trusty Triton AS2000XT for one of these silent running power shower units I was a little unsure as to whether I had made the right decision but I have to say I have no regrets. It is so quiet after the older model and it's a pleasure to use. The pressure doesn't seem quite as high but make no mistake, it still packs a punch. The fittings aren't in the same position as the AS2000XT which was a little disappointing but that's a minor detail and I soon had this one set up.

Purchased this shower as the New Team 2000 power shower that must have been at least 20+ years old finally gave up the ghost. Slightly apprehensive that it could give a good flow rate and be quiet, given that we have a gravity feed water supply, but I am totally amazed at how well it operates and how silent it actually is (compared to the NT2000 which sounded like an angry diesel train) I guess time will tell but looks and works great - Very satisfied with the purchase and delivery.

Bought this as a replacement for a similar, older triton power shower. This one is much quieter than the last but just as good considering it is run from the attic tank instead of off the mains supply due to low water pressure in my home. Highly recommended if you are in a similar position. Simple to use and thus far (two months in) no problems have arisen (no dripping etc.).

Purchased to replace an olderTriton model. It fitted in the same footprint and is so much quieter than the old one. I think it is not quite as powerful but its certainly powerful enough with good power and thermostat controls. Do far not disappointed. Shower arrived promptly. However, plumber discovered switch broken. Went on website, found link to report damage. Immediate response was to say it would be replaced, no quibbles. purchased to replace faulty triton unit ( after 8 years of use ), spares part no longer available which was a surprise as only a dripping solenoid valve, anyway the replacement was easy and unit functions well, possibly not as powerful as old unit. Our previous shower was Triton and was excellent but with age it became noisy and began to drip when off. The new Triton is excellent, very quiet as stated and we’re very pleased with it.

This is an excellent product and reasonably priced at Plumbworld. The push fit was a little tricky because we were replacing an older model so the fitting were already place.

Bought this to replace a Mira shower. So quiet compared to the old shower. Wish I had replaced it years ago. And good power and kids love it as easy to turn flow rate down

Best price. Arrived next day. Very easy to instal as nearly the same fitting as the last model we had over 20 years ago, just needed different screw holes. Works lovely.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, easy to fit with swivel connections, and as I say I’ve never heard a pumped electric shower this quiet, would definitely buy again!

The shower is very quiet as advertised. I think this may be at the expense of a bit of power, but the power is adequate for most people. Overall a good quality product.

Bought this to replace Triton AS2000XT. Was a bit reluctant to buy this one but very happy after having it fitted as it is very quiet and the flow power is very good

This shower is to replace the old one. This is a lot better and a lot quiet. It is easy to replace. I would recommend it. The on line at plumberworld was easy to use.

This shower does what it said on the box very well far better than i expected it is so much quieter you only hear the water hitting the shower tray easy to install.

This shower is definitely a lot quieter than my previous power shower and is just as powerful. I no longer have to wake my household up in the morning when I shower

We had the earlier model to this and whilst this isn’t quite as powerful (but it’s ok) it’s a lot quieter. I didn’t install it but by all accounts it was very easy.

Strong flow and really quite. Quite easy to install especially when replacing older Triton 2000ST units as inlets are the same but new holes would need to drilled.

This was a replacement for an older Triton shower so fitting was easy, pipes in the right place, power already there, but its a lot better than the old one.
