This is not only great for installers but homeowners too, meaning that any settings can be easily changed without the need for an installer to inspect the unit. Simply log on to the App and change the setting yourself.

Silent operation

Extractor fans historically haven’t been known for their silent operation but the Svara changes this with its ultra-quiet blades that operate at just 17dB(A) on low trickle. That is seriously quiet for something that’s effectively changing the airflow around your home.

Multi-room function

Because the Svara is so powerful it’s perfectly fine to be used in either a bathroom or a kitchen, and can be set to operate continuously or intermittently. This can of course be set using the Bluetooth-enabled app.

Light sensor

As standard, these extractor fans are set for continuous operation at low speed, with an adjustable timer that can be triggered via a switch or light sensor. The light sensor recognises that someone is in the room through light movement or shadows, with a delay-on feature for those quick trips to the bathroom at night.

Humidity sensor

Svara features a humidistat which reacts to sharp increases in humidity, for example, someone taking a shower or having a hot bath. If set to continuous running the fan will run at 30l/s until levels have returned to normal, then return to 10l/s. Ambient changes in humidity won’t trigger the sensor and it is possible to change the sensitivity via the app.

Silent scheduling and automatic cycles

Extractor fans on full power can be noisy and the Svara is no exception, you can, however, set silent hours stopping the fan from boosting power at certain times like overnight. You can also set a holiday airing mode so the Svara operates a purge function every 12 hours, for either 30, 60 or 90 minutes. If the light sensor picks up motion this won’t be activated though.
