Timer controlled
Extractor fans with a built-in timer control means that the fan will operate with the bathroom light switch and then overrun for a set amount of time to continue removing moisture from the air. This is great for steamy bathrooms, allowing you to turn the light off but continue with extraction for a short time.
Recessed Design
Recessed fans can be installed through a wall, window or alternatively the ceiling giving you that extra bit of flexibility.
Interchangeable Fascia
This package comes supplied with an interchangeable fascia in a square or rounded design, so you can ensure that your extractor fan not only performs to the highest of standard but also looks the part as well.
Axial
Axial type fans cause gas to flow through in an axial direction which is parallel to the shaft where the blades rotate, making the flow axial at exit and entry. Axial fans are designed to create a pressure difference and force which produces a flow through the fan.
IPX4 Rating
This product has a rating of IPX4 which means it is protected from water splashes from any angle.
Zone 1 Rated
IP rating stands for 'Ingress Protection rating' and this helps us determine what bathroom electricals can go in particular bathroom zones. An IP (Ingress Protection) number or code is used here in the UK to specify the environmental protection of enclosures around electronic equipment. These ratings are determined by specific tests.
These extractor fans can be fitted within Zone 1 as shown below.
Use in a Cloakroom or Bathroom
This type of fan is suitable for use in a cloakroom and a bathroom to give you an excellent flow rate.

Fantastic value and quiet (with a caveat)
Great value and quiet fan ,especially with the humidistat .Back draft baffles inside the fan so you dont need those noisy flapping louvres on the outside of the building. Just one thing to be aware of . The two fascia covers supplied are colossal. (8" for the circular and 7" for the square). If you are replacing an existing fan that is quite close to the ceiling the cover wont fit and will need to be trimmed with a tool as was the case with mine

Top quality extractor fan at rock bottom price
Was so much cheaper than other places I was worried it was the wrong item. So I was pleased when it was exactly as hoped, on speed one it's very quiet whilst still extracting large volumes of air. The ability to set it by time and humidity is really useful as is the two from covers. Easy to fit and looks great.

Fan working exactly as described. Had problem with Royal Mail delivery! However, on contacting Plumbworld they very quickly sent another which arrived 48 hours later, by DHL. Excellent service. Highly recommend. Will buy from again. ps still waiting for Royal Mail to deliver first fan!!!

Great product which arrived as described and on time. Clear instructions for installation, and it’s worked really well since then. The only downside for me is that xpelair give a round and square cover, only one is needed, but they won’t take the spare one back to be used by another customer. Given the climate crisis, it seems a huge waste to not reuse this, when it’s in perfect condition
Perfect
After much research on different fans I decided to go for this one and I wasn't disappointed, it's easy to fit as long as you got a basic knowledge of electrics, it works perfectly for me just on the humidistat, but obviously it depends on what you want from a fan and it does take a few adjustments to get it right, but all in all its a good fan.
Excellent fan on low setting
Lovely looking extractor fan . Humidity sensor took a bit of getting set right , but works well. Fan has two speeds, quite noisy on fast speed setting . Easy to fit , cabling clearly marked. Two facia plates quite good addition .
So far so good
Easy installation to ceiling. The humidistat and timer work well. This was a new installation so unable to compare but sound levels are tolerable and a noticeable difference compared to not having an extractor.
Excellent product
This is a replacement for a very discoloured 12 year old bathroom extractor. Easy to fit,looks good and reasonably quiet. Only time will tell if it lasts as long as the last one. For now, would recommend.
