Standard showers can have hot temperature spikes when others in the house turn on taps or flush the toilet.
Thermostatic control means that this shower will hold its temperature steady at all times. It dynamically adjusts the hot and cold water offsetting the everyday changes in water pressure experienced in most family homes.
Aqualisa Thermacoil technology
Aqualisa’s patented Thermacoil technology is a bi-metallic thermostatic valve that automatically regulates water temperature by adjusting the mix of hot and cold water in response to pressure changes. Originally introduced in the 1970s, it offers reliable, fail-safe showering by shutting off if the water supply fails, preventing scalding or freezing. This ingenious technology is used in Aqualisa's Colt showers, ensuring safe and consistent shower performance each and every time.

Engineered to prevent limescale build-up
Limescale is the enemy of many conventional showers. Over time it can build up and even cause mechanisms to seize. One of the benefits of Aqualisa Colt mixer showers is the inbuilt resistance to limescale designed into the operating mechanism of the valves.
Exposed valve installation
Exposed shower valves look great. They don’t hide the beauty of your shower valve within the wall and are particularly useful where you’ve got solid brick walls due to the installation space available. All you need to worry about are the hot and cold feeds and not the entire shower which can really reduce installation costs.
4 spray patterns
Featuring 4 brilliant spray patterns, the Aqualisa handheld shower allows you to easily control the spray pattern depending on the type of shower you desire. With light flow for a truly relaxing experience or a more powerful flow when you need a revitalising shower after a long day or night, there’s a setting for all the family.
Eco setting
Some water-saving shower heads aerate the flow of water to deliver the ‘illusion’ of bubbles, but Aqualisa aren't prepared to compromise the way your shower looks or feels. Harmony™ shower heads use intelligent design to deliver a fuller spray whilst allowing you to make water savings of up to 25%.
When the ‘eco’ spray on a Harmony™ shower head is selected, the shower head concentrates and angles the spray from its two outer rings. The result is a spray pattern that is refreshing and generous yet incredibly efficient in terms of water consumption.
Easy clean nozzles
This brilliant shower head features easy-clean nozzles to minimise the build-up of limescale. Limescale is a bathroom pest and can easily block things like shower heads. However, with easy clean nozzles, you can simply wipe this mess away with a cloth and mild soapy water and continue straight away.
Anti-twist shower hose
Twisted shower hoses restrict the water flow from your shower. With Aqualisa anti-twist technology they are no longer a problem. You can take your shower head out the holder without it flailing around and trying to escape! Anti-twist technology ensures the best possible water flow and extends the life of your shower hose.
One-handed height adjustment with pinch grip slider

Like for like - Aquarian
I bought this to replace my 10yr old Aquarian shower, which made things easy to fit. However, in all this came with full fitting instruction and fittings, I'm now thinking of buying another one for the 2nd bathroom replacement. I prefer the silver/chrome finish over the old white Aquarians casing, and the variable shower head is a definate improvement, over the old single setting head. To sum up, I'd recommend and probably buy again. Aqualisa systems seem pretty good for the money. Also note, I fitted mine to a gravity fed system, but this is also suited to a independently fed power pump system.
