A vanity unit isn’t a vanity unit without a decently sized basin sitting on top of it. The Artis unit is no exception with a wide and deep basin, finished in white and fitted neatly to the top. They offer plenty of space for day to day washing and look great when a basin mixer has been installed squarely in the centre.
The unit is floorstanding to make the most of the available space, a much more practical option when compared with a basin and pedestal.
On the front of the unit are the twin handles finished in chrome. They allow access to the storage space beneath the basin where you can hide all your bathroom lotions and potions.
Added luxury with soft close doors
Stylish can also be smart and our units are a perfect example of this. They feature clever soft close hinges which are not only a great safety feature if you’ve got small children, but they also reduce any excess noise normally made in the bathroom, especially if you’re always late to bed or an early riser. Minimalistic, single tap hole basin
If you’re upgrading your bathroom vanity unit then a basin mixer tap is the only way to go. These vanity units come with a single, centrally-mounted tap hole to allow easy installation of one. Mixer taps not only look better than separate hot and cold taps but they allow really easy mixing of water so you can achieve the perfect temperature and flow straight out the spout!

Purchased this for a replacement in our downstairs loo - and what a great improvement it is to the previous ugly corner sink!! Looks great, and at a fraction of the price of many other suppliers.
However - the casting of the waste hole could be improved - when plumbing it up, we just couldn’t get it to seal around the hole! Top tip - nip to Screwfix, buy a £1.99 Thomas Dudley waste fitting kit and a tub of Plumbers Matt - you’ll need it to ensure a good watertight fit. Also, this unit and sink doesn’t come with any plumbing/pipe work at all - not that it’s surprising for such a bargain price, but it’s not overly clear on the listing either - so just be aware that you might also need to buy a bottle trap or a p trap to connect this to your existing waste outlet. (Especially if you’ve ever purchased from Ikea before and been used to receiving all these things in the box! But equally, you pay a premium for that too).
I don’t want any of the above to sound detrimental to the product though, as it really is a fantastic looking unit and sink at the price, and I would happily buy again if needed! Just some - hopefully - handy advice for the next people in line!

I ordered this unit online and as usual with Plumbworld it was delivered almost before I’d put the phone down.
On unpacking it I found there was a chip on the edge of the door so I got on the phone to Plumbworld.
No dramas, no hassle, as always polite service and I was offered a discount or a replacement. I opted for the replacement which arrived the next day.
I fitted a tap and waste, plumbed it in and it was as simple as that. It has almost taken me longer to write this review than to order, unpack and fit this handy little unit.
It is perfect for a small secondary cloakroom. Compact, neat, very well made and easy go fit. All in all a perfect unit.
