Neat!

As an all round quality item you will find this hard to beat! Lovely neat lines and takes a fair bit less room than a normal size loo, but strangely doesn't appear small.The soft close seat is good quality although ugh cannot comment on the longevity of the mechanism at this time.

Traditional close coupled toilets

Traditional toilets are quite a visual marvel, with chrome downpipes, low or high level cisterns and ceramic flush handles. They’re old school style mixed perfectly with modern technology so you can have all of the luxury of a manor house without the masses of water consumption to go with it!

Short projection close coupled toilets

Short projection toilets are an ideal solution to bathrooms with limited space. They’re just as wide as a normal toilet and the pan and seat area has just as much space but the cistern size has been reduced to give you less length to the overall product. Don’t worry though the cistern is just as powerful as it should be.

Comfort height close coupled toilets

If you sometimes struggle with mobility and find a standard toilet just a bit too low to sit on then you need to get a comfort height toilet. They’re styled in just the same way as a contemporary toilet but with added height to make standing up and sitting down a lot easier.

How do I decide between a short projection and a standard projection close coupled toilet?

Measure how much room you have from the finished wall to the door or vanity and compare it with the toilet's total projection listed in millimetres. Short projection or "compact" models are specifically designed to sit closer to the wall and are ideal for small bathrooms and cloakrooms, examples such as the Ceramica Compact and Affine Royan. Standard projection pans give more legroom and a more traditional sit‑down feel. If floor space is tight, opt for a short projection model; if comfort and a roomy feel are more important, choose a standard projection.

What are the advantages of a rimless toilet and is it worth paying extra?

Rimless toilets remove the traditional hidden rim so the bowl is much easier to clean and less likely to trap bacteria, which makes them a good choice for hygiene. Many popular models such as Affine Bayeux and Ceramica Arles are available rimless, and you'll see rimless options across the modern range. They can cost a little more, but the cleaning time you save and the improved flush performance often justify the price. If easy maintenance and hygiene matter to you, rimless is a sensible upgrade.

Should I get a comfort height toilet or a standard height one?

Comfort height pans raise the seat to make standing up and sitting down easier, so they suit taller people and those with limited mobility; the range shows both comfort height and standard options. Look at the pan height bands (for example 401–450 mm and 451–500 mm) to find a taller seat if you want extra ease. Standard height pans are more traditional and suit most adults and families. If you're unsure, try sitting on a chair at home that's slightly higher than usual to see how it feels before choosing.

How does pan shape (D‑shape, square, oval) affect comfort and style?

Pan shape influences both the look of the bathroom and the seating comfort D‑shape pans are great for tight spaces because they have a flatter front, square pans give a crisp, contemporary appearance, and oval (standard) pans offer the most traditional sit and comfort.
